Tire Rack has "fewer than two" OZ Ultraleggerias left. I'm curious if anyone is looking to get rid of some of those or any other wheel that is 18x9.

Or, if you're really nuts and want to get rid of your custom-forged 18x11s....

I called and asked about the 18x9...they have one left...that's why I didn't get them... wanted staggered wheels. The price is a STEAL!!!!

OZ's are done. Too bad. Custom build, like CCW's are available, but for a lot of money.

Actually, about $2200 for the three piece units. Still, it's a bunch. I sold my OZ's to partially pay for mine, so the pain was spread over three sets of wheels !!!!!

Konig now sponsored the BB but I don't think they are making anything decent. What will we do in 5 years when no one makes wheels for us anymore?

I know, I could google it... just thought I'd ask here first. Some of the stock Vette rims are really nice. I would think 4 Vette fronts might work. The rear are probably too big.

Just a thought...

AFAIK vette wheels don't fit...otherwise we'd be hearing of lots of people putting them on our cars.

Different bolt pattern but it can be done.

We'll always be able to get wheels. The downside is, they will have to be custom wheels, no more off the rack wheels.

They do not have to be 3 piece, but at least at CCW they are cheaper than the 1 piece.

Thats true, but how many make billet wheels, ccw and a few others. My point is, we will always be able to get wheels for our car. The cost might not be what people want to pay though.

I'm going to edit my post and take out the three piece part just for you...LOL

Ok, so my priorities have shifted. After going to El Toro and talking to some national level drivers, sticking around in BSP is just way too expensive for a college student. So...I'm dropping back down to stock. 18x9's won't work for me anymore, so now I'm looking for 18x8's that are lighter than the stock wheels. SOB, you said 295's will squeeze onto those, right?

Hoosier 295/30x18's will. They are the ONLY seriously over wide ones that will. You will be hard pressed to get a full season out of them. If you are racing locally, you may want to consider Street Tire classing, if budget is an issue.

Doug Rowse, a national champion in a DSP 330i, has a bunch of used 295/30-18s that are in "good condition". He said he'd work with me on a "college student" price

"Good condition" is VERY subjective. Ask him to supply you with a) pics, b) depth at the two grooves and depth dimples near the edges, and number of runs. Once that is shared and the "price" thing is established, you'll know about that deal.

Then there is shipping.

Next is finding a shop that can handle the mount/dismount, and believe it when I say that not all can or will. Generally $5 off and $5 on is normal. No need for balancing. You should be able to find OEM painted or polished "take offs", which makes for a very cheap way to start out.

The good news is that he lives in Phoenix so it would be as easy as me showing up at his house and taking a look at them. If I can make his 3 sets last me till the end of the year, I'll be just fine

If they have 1.3-2mm of depth you will good to go. Look for blue coloration of the rubber as that means that they have just about been heat cycled to death.
