Nope.
I already have the GMPP intake so I would not need the ram air box so he just would not add the box but still be open to let air in though the inlets.  At least that's the way I understood.
You are correct and thankyou

Wow, I just saw this and love it.  Wonder about difficulty of instalation and fit and finish.  Please someone who gets one, post review of both.

Norm, I love this hood,  how much more for painting?

The non Ram Air will work on any model as will the Full Ram air too. I just recommend that you get a tune to go along with and get all that potential out of it. Either way will work. Thanks again Norm

Will ram air benefit me (other than cooling, which is good) if I have the stock intake?

Hello Along with the lower weight, cooling and the heat extractors are some of the big advantages of this hood. Thanks Norm

So the heat extractors are actually open to allow airflow?

Yes they are, rain water is diverted by two small channels underneath. It wont prevent a Monsoon, but youre not supposed to drive then, Im sure you read the manual where it says dont drive in the rain the RSAs dont like water, LOL. Thanks Norm

I can say that I have driven in some heavy rain with the Formula hood...very close in scoop design and same extractor design...and not one drop of water got inside...it is my daily driver and I have had no issues at all with water...even when parked in a bad storm.

Price was probably the reason why the Sol didn't get an aluminum hood.

bringinging it back to life.

Some people were asking about letting the heat out and keeping the rain out.

I have had this hood on the car for almost a year now"first model"
The fitment was very easy and it was ready for paint as soon as it go to my door.

I have a 2.4L turbo and always had a cooling issue as the engine bay would get way too hot. With Norms new GTO hood, I have noticed my coolant temps dropping down.

I have had an RK sport hood, a VIS carbon fiber hood and now Norms hood. I have to say Norms hood was the best made out of all of them and the least amount on money for install and paint. Just because it was ready to go out of the box. The RK sport hood had too many waves in it. And the carbon fiber hood. Just dont care to talk about what that thing did to my car and my wallet.

Thanks again

AJ

You can swap out your hoods depending on your mood. :) I've heard of waiting along time for the wife to get ready, but this brings new meaning to the expression "Honey, do I look good in this?"

I only have one hood now and it is the GTO one from norm. All of the others hoods didn't fit to my liking. So I sold them to different people and companies. The RK sport one went to a customer in Quebec Canada, and the VIS carbon fiber hood went to a local racecar team that wanted a light hood and didnt care how it fit onto the car as long as they could bolt the head lights to it.
