Hey folks,

To all those who know me, its Dark Tech.  I sold my car a little while ago and am looking for another black solstice gxp convertable to modify.  I'm missing the power and the fun of having these cars.  I cant resist having one.  Keep a lookout, im only looking for a manual transmission.

Thanks guys,

Joejr,

There's a 2.4 for sale at Tom Hodges down in Hollywood, though he's known to charge way too much for cars. Not sure you want a 2.4 but thought I'd mention it.
2005 Chevy Silverado Z71 Crew Cab, LM7 4L60E (What I traded my Kappa for. I regret nothing.)
2012 Chevy Camaro 2SS RS LS3 TR6060.
2021 Ram 2500 Cummins
2022 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon. 3.6, manual trans.

At least he already knows what mods are out there, which ones work and which ones don't!

Joey, Besides detailing it, what are you planning on doing first?

Dark Tech, just can't keep a good man down!  Hope you can locate a Mysterious (black) GXP.  May just have to be patient and bide your time and may need to travel to the site if one pops up.  Who knows, perserverence pays off from time to time.  Good luck with your search.  I will be checking for you in the Kansas City area.  I see them here a lot, in fact just two days ago spotted an Aggressive, Mean, and Mysterious in one day alone, while I was out.  Keep at it and you will be successful!  If I spot one locally will pm you.

Joey, I know of a black Sol in my area you might be interested in. You'll have to wait a few days though because it was recently keyed and they're waiting for the new paint to dry.

What I don't understand is why DBG doesn't just give him the combonation to the lock where the car is stored.  We all know DBG has a black, manual, already modded Solstice in a shed somewhere that is already detailed, interior redone, all the normal add on's....  It's perfect.  Exactly what darktech is looking for.

Remember darktech - everything is available for the right price...

Joe, that's about 7 hours from me - sorry.

If you don't find anyone, I'm guessing Excelsior is the closest, you could try Hammy221. He doesn't get on the forum much but I know he is currently stationed at Fort Drum.

Here is the link to one near me
http://www.wmbuickgmc.com/VehicleDetails/823948913

I saw it while looking at another car I was thinking about adding to the fleet.  I didn't spend much time looking at it but if you want I can give it a closer look and if it happens to be the one you want I will give you whatever assistance I can.

One at Frankel and Chesapeake Cadillac, Cockeysville, MD

which is a helluva lot closer - might not be exactly what you want but more convenient to see

I believe he would like to keep the sale price below 15K, 5 speed manual and has to be a black car.

Joe, I see a couple in my area around $18k 5 spd., blk, GXP (maybe you can talk them down on the price), but I'm not sure what kind of mileage you are looking for.  If you guys want, do a search and use the zip code 11552 put in anything within 100 mile radius, if you find something you want I'll take Reed or Spiky and we'll go check it out for you.

Is anyone near Webster, NY can check out the car and the underside of the convertible top where it folds?

It's a little over 2 hrs. North West of me. I can check it out this weekend. If that wont be to late.

This is great guys, thanks.   Is anyone in the Chicago area.  There is a Mysterious for sale by owner.  Its on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&_trksid=p5197.c0.m619&item=140475172246&viewitem=&category=124128 He has the GMPP kit on it and I didd't really see any good pics of the top.  If anyone is nearby let me know if you can check it out.  His asking price is 16k which sounds pretty reasonable considering the mileage is under 10k.

Mods,
I plan to do all the DDM backbone, front shocktower brace, probeam, westers tune, direzza star spec tires, powdercoated red valve cover, pontentially the smoothline hardtop, big brakes and the vertical doors.  The oil catch can is a must considering all the oil found in most solstice gxp's intake.  Bigger intercooler, big turbo wheel, CAI, and the list can go on and on.

Thanks

Joe and Joe Jr,

You are focusing your shopping in the wrong direction!  Why on earth would you want to go to upstate NY or Chicagoland this time of year?  Start looking SOUTH!

Just kidding, but if you do find anything out this way, I'm game for a road trip to go see it, plus, you have a place to stay if you find something out here.  Golf and the first beer are on me.  I'm sorry if my dog eats you while you are staying at my house, but hey, it's a nice place to stay.
