I'm not new to the forum, the car isn't either, but the two of us together are an "item" for the first time!

Cliff's Notes:
Serendipitous pairing of man and machine against all odds
The Story:
It started in late August, when kev2390 (Coupe0091 on here) posted a quick-and-to-the-point post that one or both of his GXP 5MT Coupes were for sale over on the BB. A short PM to inquire snowballed into a months long discussion and negotiation that ended in an agreement on a final price. One caveat: I still had my '07 GXP to sell, and winter was fast approaching. I enthusiastically posted my car for sale, hoping for a quick turnaround at a very reasonable price, vis a vis other cars with similar miles. In spite of this, things were looking pretty glum, not even a tire kicker to speak of after a month of being for sale. My bank actually offered to discharge my loan, but for thousands less than my asking price. Just when I was ready to throw in the towel and pull my car off the market until the spring, and most likely missing out on becoming the new owner, a retired chap from Alaska that had recently relocated to Idaho expressed interest. Two days later, I was picking him up at the airport and he was on his way with my old car.
Flash forward to last weekend, and I was boarding a flight from PDX to LAX to finally meet kev2390. We exchanged pleasantries, took care of the business side of things, and I was on my way. With just over 1,300 miles and having never seen rain, I lamented that I'd almost be doubling the odometer in the span of two days. But this isn't going to be a garage queen, so I guess it's only fitting that I took the PCH and got buried with snow b/w San Francisco and Eureka, and pelted with rain the rest of the drive up the coast!
Future Plans:
This car will be Sunday driven :leaving:
.. for those that know me, that means a lot of highway miles traveling to abandoned lumber yards, active runways, small paddocks and parking lots to dodge seas of cones

After spending last season hacking it out with the best in national BStock competition, I'll be making a return with "the nicest looking car in grid"! Some very expensive and custom double-adjustable remote reservoir monotubes are going on before the start of the season. A proper race alignment will be in order shortly thereafter. Luckily, kev2390 saved me the pain of needing to do anything else to car, since it currently sits with all the needed Z0K parts installed.
I'm getting the car wrapped in ClearBra tomorrow. My previous GXP sustained a lot of sandblasting from the highway miles, and scuffs from cone marks that became permanent fixtures. The same fate will not be bestowed on this beauty!
If you've been frequenting the classifieds lately, you'll also notice that I'm trying to get the car back to stock. It came with a GMPP tune/sensors and a CAI (selling), as well as a ProBeam (taking off but keeping). I'm not really impressed with the performance of the GMPP tune anyway, compared to the PCM4Less tune I ran on the street in my previous GXP.
Pictures:
Only the "spy shot" kev2390 provided me, so far. Once the weather lets up, I'll probably take it for a spin around town and take some pics. Needless to say, it's immaculate, and still has that new car smell!
