Best power buffer?

Ok everyone, go-n-def is heading to San Diego and I have to get my car cleaned up before he sees it! 

I don't have a power buffer of any sort, so I thought i'd ask around which ones are best for the job.  Thanks in advance.

Porter Cable or Cyclo.  
I have the Cyclo and my only complaint would be kind of hard to get into tight places.  Used with the right products you can't screw up your paint.  I use 3M Professional products that are not sold to the genral public but sold to autobody shops.  Tho I have to go online to get them and they cost on average about $40 a bottle and typically you may need 3-4 different bottles for the whole restoration system depending on how bad your vehicles paint.

I prefer and use the Porter Cable.  Of course you could do like Critter and just have someone else do it!

Funny you should mention that Mike, I have all the stuff and the PC, sitting in the house waiting for you to get back.  Even plan on going to the hobby shop so you don't have to do it in the cold.

How is that for being considerate?

The FLEX XC 3401 Orbital Polisher would be the ideal polisher. Here is a link that can tell you more about it...

Porter Cable 7424 is your best bet.  Be prepared to spend as much on products and pads as you do on the buffer, as well as some homework to get it all figured out.

I used the Porter Cable when I was trained to detail at Poorboy's. It was excellent. :thumbs:

I use Griots Garage 3 & 6 inch random obitial polishers.  They sometimes include an excellent DVD that shows how to correctly use the polisher (normally $9.99), with chapters on how to clay and detail your vehicle overall.

GJ don't they have that power buffer Juan or was it Jesus out there at one of the local Home Depots? :poke:  If not maybe DW could hook you up with his house cleaners brother, don't tell the misses though.

I have no suggestions for buffers. However, I do have a suggestion that if there is any pink paint around, you hide it IMMEDIATELY!!!

The best buffer I've found is Tello.  :yay: He details my car every week, including buff and wax, in my driveway, and only charges $20. Every time my friend from LA comes to visit she has him do hers too. Of course only after I've done hers....  :worms: Umm...anyway, you get the idea.  :devil: If you want the bestest cheapest detail ever, you'll have to come visit me in Bajamar.  :thumbs:
