Trying to decide what to do to my Sol at the upcoming mod meet. I know mine is still pretty stock compared to most on this forum, I only have the mods listed in my signature.

So I'm looking for a few ideas, generally on the understated side of things.....I want her to be "fairly" stock.

FYI.....Not interested in new exhausts or whole new interiors at this point, though I think some Alcantara is in my future at some point.......

how bout DDM Backbone/Probeam/Cross Bay Brace to stiffen up your car. Maybe some powercoated items such as the valve or coil cover. You could do Ic Pipes as well...

Aren't they out of production/hard to find now? I know mine was the last one CED had.

I like the idea of getting all the DDM braces. But an intake would be fun, it's way too much fun listening to the turbo!

The backbone brace is a great mod. A K&N filter works great for the money. No annoying chirp every time you let off the gas IMO.

Well okay maybe not but I love the sound. I can tell ya though that the gentleman that I got it from didn't care for it at all.

I know what the "2.0L (LNF)" means but what does "RPO Codes Needed LNF GTA" mean?

And do any of ya'll have data taking a stab at the hp increase?

I know when I put my GMPP CAI on my GXP it sounded faster but alas, a CAI won't help give ya' a power boost as the stock air box actually works really well.

I knew it wasn't much, and without a tune or GMPP tune (which I do have), I heard the stock GXP tune would "unlearn" any increase anyway.....

So what can anyone tell me 'bout the sound changes? Any recordings out there anyone know of?

I've been looking at a stereo microphone for my camera anyway, so I bought it today. I'll try it out and record some intake sounds. Should get the clip up in the next couple of days...

I too keep mine fairly stock. I have the ddm backbone, a tune and heated seats... Otherwise stock. I would suggest bracing as a good investment as it makes a noticeable difference, but is outwardly undetectable. Better brake pads are somewhere in the future, along with some better rubber and some wheels that showed up on my doorstep one day last year. Other that that, it's deciding whether you want to change looks or performance. Either way, i'll be at the meet to lend you a hand.

Turn your speakers up! You can hear my SOLO Performance Street Race exhaust pretty well. Then just as I come off the gas to switch gears, you can hear the blow off valve through the Performance Air Intake. And no I didn't miss second gear, you can see the LOW TRACTION light come on.
