For those of you who have purchased VDI Hinges from Dave @ DDM Works or if you have custom door hinges that open as lambo doors, then you will want a set of these.

I originally developed these based off a simple design that I saw in the 2nd Nationals. It was a simple design as it didn't lock into the latch or door. After a several hours of bending and adding more bends and then starting over etc... I came up with a design that locks in and won't move.

If you went to the Nationals in Canton OH and saw Go-N Def's car. The rods were installed on his car.

The rods will be on sale for $50.00 plus shipping

Info on what you're getting:

   * There are no moving parts to the rods.
   * Two rods (one for each side)
   * Locks in to the latch and once latched into the door, they cannot be moved until released by pulling the door handle.
   * Latching into the door turns off the inside mirror lights.
   * Can be used in parades with the doors up (did this at the DC St Pattricks day parade)
   * Great for car shows - keeps people out of your car.
   * Ends are dipped in black tool plastic gel
   * Rods are painted red (except dipped ends)
   * Labeled for which side
   * Instructions for installation and removal

When placing an order, I ship 3 days after receipt of order (it takes a few days to make these)

Joe, the pictures here are the un-dipped and non-painted? Nice job! With all the work to put that together, for $50 for a pair of them it's a steal.

Look great! Anyone in the North Texas area have VDI hinges installed? I'd really like to see them in person - although I like the look, the Mrs is adamant against them. If I could see them in person, it might help win the argument!

Be careful with the plastic ends. They're highly flammable whilst drying!
