IMO a 10 inch wheel with a tire on it will stick out of the rear wheel well. You can't adjust the offset enough to tuck it in without rubbing on the inside. 19X9's will fit barely with the right offset discussed before. Adding another 25 mm will either cause the tire to rub inside, or stick out. You can see some 19X10's at performance autowerks site on the car.

They run a 19x9.5 front and 19x10.5 rear.  I know a few others on here with 10" rear wheels...hopefully one of them can chime in on this and help out??

Thx for the correction.

To match what a 19X9 is able to get away with on the rear of the car (50 mm offset which results in 8mm less clearance inside) from the earlier conversation you need a 38mm OS. That makes the wheel stick out 42mm more than stock. That's a lot.

I don't know what to do...maybe someone with 10" wheels can post a picture of how far they stick out and what offset they use.

I took a guess at your new tire size, but this looks pretty good to me:  THIS IS BASED on the info you provided - stock off set of 55mm.  This info is not verified.

WHEEL FITMENT, TYRE STRETCH, ROLLING RADIUS AND SPEEDOMETER ERROR CALCULATOR

Insert your existing wheel and tyre specs, and the desired size, and the outcome is shown on the diagram. Bear in mind most tyre manufacturers vary slighty from the specs, and that it could be dangerous to run tyres on wheels they aren't designed to fit. The strut shown in the diagram is for show only - Don't worry if the wheel looks like it fouls!

                    TIRE                                  WHEEL
                   Width Aspect   Diameter   Width     Offset
Existing        245         45      18             8.0            55

New         275       35     19            10             55

                           Old           New
    Diameter                  677.7mm   675.1mm
    Circumference          2129.1mm   2120.9mm
    Poke                          46.6mm   72mm
    Inset                        156.6mm   182mm
    Speedo error            0%      0.39%
    Reading at 30mph     30mph   30.12mph
    Reading at 60mph     60mph   60.23mph
    Ride height gain           0mm          -1.3mm
    Arch gap loss           0mm          -1.3mm

Going to inset 25.4mm (1") more than stock, and stick out or "poke" 25.4mm (1") more than stock.  I don't know if that's acceptable?  Anyone?

EDITED: Stock wheels are 8" width, not the 8.5 I had in there originally.  Please review all numbers as they have changed.  I have adjusted everything to be in line with the new (corrected) specs.

It looks like from what I have on there now (19x9), I have the following choices:

55mm offset- results in 13mm less inside clearance and 13mm more outer position

OR

50mm offset- results in 8mm less inside clearance and 18mm more outer position

Which seems more acceptable?

oops.  Really?  I think my new wheels are 18X8.5... and I thought they matched stock.  Now I have to go find out.  I put stock sized rubber on them, and they seem to be fine.  Now you have me worried.

Just checked.  Stock is 8, my new wheels are 8.5.  I think the 245-45-18's fit just fine on there.  Wonder how wide I could have gone in the rear?  oh well, another day.

SPICY -
you are going to have to measure your clearances.  You have after market suspension too right?  I'm not sure me measuring what I have for space is of any use to you.

Steve#1,

I adjusted all the parameters in my post above.  Please review again.  The new wheels work best with 275-35-19X10 with 55 mm offset.  The difference in ride height is next to nothing, so your speedo and such are still ok.  You'll need 1" inside and out from stock to make it work.  Not 1" inside and out from what you have now, but from stock.  Plus your suspension mods... not sure what that does to you.

GJ - TR and the other tire houses will only go to a 255-45x18 on 8.5 rims.  You can probably go to a 275 if you can find someone to mount them.

So I ended up getting 19x8.5 in front and 19x10 in the rear...offsets being +50mm for the front and +36mm in the rear.  I will be having my body shop widen the rear fenders by 1.5".

I am very excited over the final look!

I ordered my tires from Tire Rack as well.  It's my daily driver so I ordered Continental ExtremeContact DWS:
Front 245/40-19 and Rear 275/35-19 on the recommendation from Forgestar.  They have gotten great reviews from both customers and forum members on here so I feel comfortable purchasing them.  Thanks to all that have chimed in and helped me in the wheel and tire process.  I know I troubled a few people for their insight and I much appreciate it!
