Sweet, looks like they may go out Friday LV?  Or looking more like next week?

Also, when you quoted me the shipping, and request for payment for paypal, you never provided me with the e-mail for the paypal account.  Maybe you could post for everyone else as well?

Thanks for the efforts!

Just an FYI and dont know if this was mentioned prior to my install a few months ago, but the stock resonator wont fit back in with the lv brace in there. I had the hockey puck mod to remove the resonator and then decided to put it back in today. Well, scratch that. Didnt fit since it hits off the bar. Im sure you can possibly take a heat gun and reform the plastic where it hits, but I didnt feel like doing that so I just tossed the resonator. Rather have the brace.  :drive:

The brace doesn't fit with the intake resonator in place?  I may have to rethink the brace . . .  LV?

Dave,
I cannot comment since I do not have a NA car. There has been a few sold to members with NA cars and ophidia31 was the 1st member to mentioned this issue.
Not saying is not true, I just do not know what others did.

Yeah, I dont know what the issue was either. There are the two rubber push holder things that hold the resonator onto the frame. The back one (near the coolant reservoir) is able to go on, but when I went to do the front one, it hits off the bar portion of the brace and not the bracket part that mounts to the frame. I should have taken a picture but the resonator has since been tossed in the dumpster at work. Like I said, its an easy work around to heat it up to reform the plastic if someone runs into this, I just didnt want to do it.

Ophidia31 thanks for the explanation, maybe all the other NA owners had already remove the resonator or did something different than what you are suggesting.
Maybe someone else will chime in.

When I originally measured up my NA to see if it would fit, I had a Cold Air Intake on my NA. There wasn't any interference, of course.

When I looked at it this afternoon, now that I have the OEM resonator back on the car, the situation as explained by ophidia31 is obvious.   Yes, it could be worked around, but then the resonator wouldn't be stock any more.

My NA is a 1st 1000, and I want to keep it stock, or be able to return it to stock, so I don't want to modify the resonator as ophidia31 says can be done.

Dave,

I think I still have the resonator from my old '06 Solstice tucked away in my basement.  As I know longer have an NA Sol, you are welcome to it for the cost of shipping if you are interested.

That way you could modify the extra resonator, but still keep your original stock one for when you may want to return the car to stock.

Not sure how much shipping would cost.  Let me know if you are interested and we can see if the shipping is reasonable.

That's a nice offer Diane, but shipping would be a bunch of money relative to the worth of the part. I really don't want to bother with modifying a stock resonator at this point.  I'll just live without the LVFCB for the time being.  I'm not putting many miles on the Solstice at this point in time, and I'm even occasionally thinking about maybe getting something newer, maybe.

Thanks.

Dave

Thanks LV for doing this.
Mine was received yesterday at home. Unfortunately, I'm not home and won't be until next week. Looking forward to installing and checking out the difference before winter shutdown.

Installed mine this morning. I had to pry the radiator forward in order to install the fan connector. Now the connector is against the brace. Any one else notice this and will I have problems with connector rubbing against the brace.Thinking of putting some rubber sheet to isolate connector from brace.
I have a 2009 GXP Coupe.
