I washed and/or drove my Kappa thread
« on: July 14, 2011, 10:47:53 AM »
In an effort to keep the
"What did you do to your Kappa" thread about upgrades and mods, and not about washing and driving.

Please post your cleaning, cleaning tips and drive excursions in this thread
and
Please leave the other thread for technical upgrades, modifications and the like.

Since I f-ed up my other ride (the G8), I have been driving my solstice every day; to work, to the gym, to the grocery store, in the rain, in the sun, etc., etc., etc.   :banghead:

I even drove him to Newark Airport and had to leave him parked in airport parking for 40 hours.  I was quite relieved to land in Newark last night to find my car still there and apparently unharmed.   :yay:

Pretty much
But this way it doesn't clutter a thread that should be about technical stuff and allows people to have a place to potentially put up a non typical drive story

Yeah, happened just about three weeks ago now.  Rear-ended a Mountaineer. If you go to my facebook wall you can see the tragic picture.    :(

Still haven't heard from the body shop yet today on if they have all the parts in to start the  repairs yet.

DBG just sent me the link. Sorry I was away when it happened so I didn't see your post. I'm glad you're okay. At least you have a good body shop, they'll get him fixed right up! :)

Waxed and drove the red coupe to Bakers Restaurant in Milford, MI where we had met up with around 17 other Kappa's, plus their owners, spouses, and driving companions just so we could all drive around 100 miles on secondary roads with plenty of twists and turns to end up at a beautiful Frankenmuth, MI (home of the largest Christmas decoration store in the world) restaurant for an late afternoon lunch. :D

Unfortunately, we couldn't stay and enjoy the food or company because the drive took longer than expected and we had to scoot home to make sure our bulldog received her evening anti-seizure medication. :( The things you do for you pets.

I think the Funniest part was watching people who'd stop watch and wave as one Kappa cruised by after another. :usa:

Drove mine top down, in a dress, with the threat of rain, to a job interview.

How's that for a post of importance?

I guess it would depend on how short was the dress ;)

Or how full the skirt is.  Driving top down with a full skirt can be quite the challenge. LOL

I wished I could have washed my car today. Home tomorrow so I can finally get her cleaned up.

The what I did to my Kappa today is such a mess anyway, it's a loss to post anything there now. Anything of any substance should have it's own thread or it's lost in the "what I did today" hell.

 :D
Just trying to do my part...

Mods: Lose the chicklets, VentureShield, Dual horns, AfterShock spoiler, Weathershield cover, Lil Chromies, Red calipers with black Solstice stickers, Opel GT antenna and Solo GXP-RCD exhaust with a Solo hi-flow cat!

Thanks elff... working on another one I'd rather get! Really, really need out of the current one...really!

Shiny...I'm older and all leg..my dresses (all 3 of them   ) are mid-calf.

Dengel...no full skirts for me..that would definitely be a challenge topdown!
