Does your wife know you are engaged to be married?  Better not tell her.  And I don't recommend telling your fiancé abut your wife either.  And don't tell either of them about SHiNY.

You know what?  Your better off just sitting quietly watching F1 and not talking to anyone.

PS-  that helmet is way too red.

Kelu is that your wife, fiance, or the sister of the fiance's wife?  I hate to think what your family tree must look like.  Anyway I know it's not Shiny, she's from NY so she would only be waving a single finger.

Kenny are you having problems making another decision is that why you don't get it?

I know, if you go to the web site where I found that pic the caption actually says, "These trees always seemed very elf-like to me. And just think, what elves, living for centuries, could coax from nature with patience."

Also it's further proof that you and Kelu are bros.

I'm watching it now.  What changed on the rear spoilers for this season?  Seems like the cars are a little squirrelly on the back end

The "f ducts" and blown diffusers are banned and FIA put a strict set of guidelines in place for the exhaust placement, exit, size, and shape. The exhaust had become part of the cars' aero package.

Clearly McLaren is back, Ferrari isn't, Mercedes looks strong as do so of the back marker teams. Red Bull has its hands full after losing the blown diffuser. This will be a rockem' sockem' season. The starts will be gang wars at the first turns.

The drivers seem to be having a tough time with losing the rear grip they used to have. The blown diffuser probably allowed them to develop a "bad" habit of lifting off the throttle abruptly. With a blown diffuser you get more downforce when you lift off than in most cars, without it, you lose grip in the rear and have more weight transfer forward. So the blown diffusers allowed faster corner entry, which can often lead to faster corner exit, and by the end of the straight, even a faster straight line car probably won't catch up to you. Red Bull had the best one last year so they dominated tracks with lots of corners, especially high speed corners. In practice, without the rear grip off throttle, I saw plenty of times in practice folks were losing the back end in the braking zones.

Merc also has a system which is taking air from the rear wing when DRS is open and directing it down through a channel in the rear wing supports to blow it to the bottom part of the wing making for even faster straight line speed. It's been dubbed "Super DRS" by the SkyF1 commentators. So far Merc has highest straight line speed. The car is a lot better. But the boys didn't qualify as well as expected.

Adrian Newey has said that the entire car last year was built around the exhaust. That shows how important it was. So it's a big change for them this year. They have some funky winglets on the rear wheel hubs that the exhaust can blow onto. McLaren is actually blowing exhaust gas at the rear tires. Don't expect Red Bull to fall behind too much. RB are the Apple of motorsport. Slow, focused development. Incremental measurable improvements. Not just slap a bunch of stuff on and throw it on the track.

Hamilton seems to have his head back in the game. Vettel is excellent though, tends to keep his cool and be very mature out there, so that counts even if you aren't the fastest.

I can't wait to watch the race this afternoon. I can't watch it until 5pm eastern time due to other plans.

Grosjean looks good. He did well. Not sure if it's the car or the guy. But he was excellent in the lower series.

24% loss of rear downforce with the removal of the diffuser and exhaust gasses.  As for this season, it should be very interesting if this race is anything to judge by.  Lots of new names in the mix, cars and drivers.

I just finished watching it.
Sure was an interesting Race.  Guess that shuts up the people who say Vettel can't race from anything but the lead.
Weber had an excellent race as well.
I think Ferrari is not going to do well.  Alonso is an amazing driver and has been making inferior cars stay in the top 6, but once again, I do not think they have a car that can podium on anything but some weird circumstances.
Maybe they will get that worked out in the first couple of races but who knows.

It was weird how Rossberg just died at the end.  Did he run into the same issue as MSC?
Lotus looked surprising good, it's a shame about Grossman <--Spelling.   Their cars seem to be the most improved and the 2 drivers look good.
With Kobiashi <-- Spelling again, Finishing where he did, the 4-8 place race looks to be extremely exciting as well.

All in all, this looks to be an exciting year.

Can't believe how Maldanado destroyed the car on the last lap.  WOW
