Yeah the rule was instituted after he did the same thing several years ago in Canada.  The rule is you have to make it back to the pits with 1 liter of fuel for testing.

5 races,
5 different winners
5 different constructors

and Williams who hasn't been on the podium since 2002.  And Maldonado the Venezuelan who Chavez paid his way into F1 with 29 million in seat money.  He raced a hell of a race.  Ferrari/Alonzo in second, and
Raikkonen's pouting 3rd place after making up a 20 second deficit in 10 laps

Hamilton came from last to 8th to retain 3rd in the overall standings.

Vettle/Alonzo tied for first
and Raikkonen is in 4th

It is going to be a great season, can't wait for Monaco in 2 weeks.

Once again Alonso drove a killer race.  It's amazing what he can do in a car that isn't as good as the other teams.
Kimi is gonna win soon. I can feel it.

This is a crazy season.  So competitive.  I love how just about all the teams have a chance to win every weekend.  I also like how teams are fighting so hard for just 10th place because every point is needed

Monaco this weekend, practice has already taken place.  In my opinion the best race of the year.

Well when you do just remember everything costs about the same except in pounds instead of dollars so it is actually 1.565 more expensive. (at todays currency exchange rate.  It's only 1.252 to the Euro so it might be cheaper in Europe :)

Ok are we clear to discuss the race? I watched last night. I was a little upset, and not over who won and lost.

I don't like races that are only about tire preservation. But I guess the threat of rain caused that today.

Monaco is already hard to overtake on, but because they were conserving tires, they couldn't race hard.

at the end it was to hard to overtake, coz nobody wanted to risk any points by a possible damage. i have been to Monaco and i saw how narrow the streets are even at 80km/h. imagine with 200+km/h.

i was upset of Schumacher's bad luck once again.
i really like this guy, coz he never feared to make a comeback, knowing thaat it is difficult to relive his old days of glory. he sure proves he is not concerned about his image as a multi-champion, but ratherthat he is in love with this sport (and the money that comes with it :) )

Weber drove a fantastic race.  Snagged Pole due to the penalty on Schumaker from the last race and just ran a great strategy.
The narrowness of the track just makes it so difficult.  The one accident was inevitable, it was just a matter of who was going to be involved.

I think Vettel did an awesome job as did Masa finally.  I have to check the standings now for both the drivers and the Teams.

I did not know until I watched the debrief about the fire in Maldonado's pit.  That is scary stuff.

Guys you are missing the whole point of Monaco, it is no different than any other course this year as far a tire preservation is concerned, the thing about Monaco are the extremes.  Narrow streets, off camber corners, armco inches from where you need to put your tire to make a turn and the most extreme braking.  Hairpin is a 25 mph 1.5 cars wide downhill off camber corner.  You come out of the tunnel at 170 mph only to have to slow to 40 mph on a rough road to make the chicane.  Monaco is all about how big the drivers cohones are, and how close he can run to the walls with out hitting it.  All the good drivers kiss the wall coming into the "straight" at the start finish.  It is a driver's race plain and simple.

Understood. The threat of rain made it worse. Most drivers were going to do two stops.

I don't like this tire preservation at all. To me it's Russian roulette for the teams.

Martin whitmarsh told McLaren that they are a data driven team, with the kost advanced data gathering, but they can't figure out these tires at all.

Tires where built the way F1 mandated.  Sudden loss of grip and unpredictable.  The driver has to learn the tire and understand the slight differences in performance so that they an anticipate when they go away.   A great amount of the tire life is in the way they are brought up to temperature, too quick and they don't last, to slow and they never develop grip.  Sorta like Goldielocks and the 3 bears.

I like this race due to what Critter listed.  it is soooo technical and coming out of the tunnel is insane.

One of the things I like about Weber is he is so consistent.  He Ripped off perfect lap after perfect lap.  All he had to do is breath on a wall and their were a bunch of people waiting to take over the lead.
While there is little chance of a pass, there is plenty of a chance of breaking your car which is what makes this a fun race.

It is also visually the coolest race on the circuit.   I have to go visit there some time.  I think if I ever go to an F1 race it would have to be there.
