And of course my DVR cut off the last 10 or so laps. Now set to record an extra hour after the scheduled end of races.

Do you get ESPN on your cable service?  If so you can get the ESPN streaming service and sign in with your service provider account.  You can watch it there.

I am back from my Business trip and finally got a chance to watch Silverstone.
Holy Shit, that could have been nasty but the Halo conitinues to show that it was a very good safety addition.
Excellent wheel to wheel racing.  Perez, once again, worked his tires like no one else and was then able to really take advantage of that late yellow flag.  Congrats to Sainz.  He finally got his first win and Schumaker finally got his first points.

After a couple of boring races, this one did not disappoint.

Qually yesterday was interesting with Ham red flagging q3 and then Russell red flagging a few minutes after they started back up again.
In the sprint race Schumaker gave Ham a run for his money for about 10 laps.

I was quite surprised that a HAAS with DRS was impassable by a Mercedes with DRS.
Hamilton was only able to pass Schumaker when Schumaker failed to maintain 1 second to Magnussen.

I have to think Hamilton was just raging inside his head.
LOL

Perez had a hell of a sprint.  Tomorrow should be fun.

Car placement played a major part in making the HAAS impassible, that an a set of brass ones under braking   :)

In my opinion we had an interesting race today.  Quite a bit of close racing.

Of interest if you are following the news, it appears a couple of teams interpreted rules concerning the floor and skid plate differently from the rest of the manufactures.  The rules state that there can be 1-2 millimeters of flex in the skid plate.  Two teams while in compliance at the points measured by the FIA have a floating skid plate towards the rear of the car.  This allows the car to run lower and faster without proposing.  This will all change by the French race.   Ferrari has already said that they will have to change their floor.  Red Bull said their floor meets current requirements, but will not say if they meet the new requirements

Well my DVR decided I didn't need to see the sprint race, I guess ESPN had it labeled the same as P2 so it didn't record the same thing twice.  Not sure WTF that was about.

The race was good and not a snore fest like several of the last few.

Have I ever mentioned how much I hate those damn stripes on the side of the track at France?  Has to be the worst track of the season to watch.

Not reading any comments. Haven?t seen race yet. Not really sure what day it is. I?m sitting in a balcony looking over the ocean in Santorini Greece.  80 degrees, steady sea breeze?. Pretty nice.
Make the right choices now

That's a good thing Elff, they don't have the power to run the A/C if they had it.  Damn greenies want the carbon for their faux environmental friendly cars.  Much more important than some common peoples lives you know.

Was that really Leclerc's fault?  Or did he just take the hit for the team?  I found it interesting how after the race the audio was cut off when the drivers and RB's engineer were discussing Leclerc.

Story did change but he took full blame.

Ferrari strategists are a breed (maybe inbreed) I mean really call your driver in in the middle of him racing for and gaining 2nd place
