Topic: Custom ABS plastic honeycomb front grille for Sky/GT

The other day i wrote about a custom front grill i made out of some ABS plastic mesh i found in a junkyard.

i decided to make it a bit better since the other one was two pieces.
i bought a piece of ABS plastic honeycomb mesh from ebay (a shop in Poland)

i am pretty sure that in the States and Canada, with all the auto shops you have, you can find it.

first i used the factory grille to cut it accordingly. zip tied it to hold it together for more steadiness.

then i placed it on and made the final cuts for good (not saying perfect) fitment

be sure to have the top part underneath the small tooth and before securing it in place, have someone open and close the hood to check it is not rubbing against it, coz this thing is kind of thick

i put some carbon fibre vinyl behind the mesh to hide the small holes of the bumper
zip tied it in place (4 used). i am sure someone can find better ways to put it on.

here is the final result, after the abs plastic mesh and the turn light to parking light mod.
(about 1-1.5 hrs of job)

yours is aluminium, mine is plastic, so when we meet we will look at the grills and we will both know which car to get in when we leave...

My friend from Romania, the other black GT which is racing has same ABS plastic grille like yours.

He is a Kelu wanna be too, maybe I should introduce to each other

the pieces on the headlights are also vinyl. i had a professional make them and install them. i prefer it like that (i mean self-adhessive vinyl) coz it is a 100% reversible mod and i can get them back to stock anytime i want.
