Well I finally took my car in to get the squeak fixed. It had really gotten bad lately. Went into the good dealer in Manassas (Koons), and instead of the "failure to duplicate" I got the, "we know about the TSB and have the parts in stock now" "so have a seat and we will have you out of here in a jiffy." Well, I took my lap top, read the forum using there free internet access, had a free cup of coffee and right after I sent a message to lilgoat that I was at his favorite dealer, Jeff tapped me on the shoulder and said it was all done. He asked me if I wanted the car washed and I said nope but thanks for asking and I drove back to work. It is such a shame that it is 1 1/2 hours from home.
If all the dealers would learn from them, I feel GM would not be in such trouble. They are smart too because they also sell and service Hondas. So they cover all basis.
On the way home I hit every bump I could find and also drove fast over a couple of speed bumps and no squeak.
So if you are thinking of having it fixed, I would go for it.
