Topic: Ring time

Our cars, with the convertible top and lousy coefficient of drag, are at a disadvantage on a long track like the Nordshleife.  Still, it seems to be the international standard these days, so I figure it's an interesting topic.  Here are the times I've tripped over, presumably all for stock Redlines/Opels.

I'd be curious to see how a tuned car with good tires would do.  Anybody have more data?  Maybe our European members?

i m not sure wether the Redline/GT have been officially timed in the Ring.
i have a magazine from a tourist session with the GT in. i will check if it mentions any time.

for what is worth, here are the lap times of stock cars tested in Serres circuit, in Greece.
just to have a comparison between other cars (some of them u probably don't have them in USA or Canada)

Rufus: Maybe I don't get it, you have Opel GT in your link. Why to wonder about a tuned car, you can make a tuned car as fast u want on circuit depends only on the pockets and driver.
