Normsfiberglass goes racing
« on: August 08, 2012, 02:30:04 AM »
Hello, we just built some panels for a WC team that raced this last weekend at Mid Ohio Izod Indy. I wasnt sure I wanted to post up this as it runs the RK front and side skirts (heavy, lol) but we made the doors, a racing lightweight GTO hood (26lbs), fenders, race top and flared rear 1/4s (looks stock, eh).  Had to deliever some parts there on Wed before the race. It was there first outing with a new car so some teething problems, Im sure they will get it worked out by Sonoma.

Now its time for us to get back to the car were building for SEMA it will blow this one away,
with a wider front new style bumper, new wider hood and different functional side skirts that will only work on the new wider rear 1/4 panels. I know Im teasing with no pictures until we get her done, Lol. thanks guys Norm

If you follow the link above, you will discover that this car was Bill Ziegler's car which he raced in the T2 class at the SCCA National Championship Runoffs in 2008. He was first listed as winning the race in the provisional results. He was later penalized to finishing behind Don Knowles who finished 13th after he and Bill had a collision on the last lap.

This car has sat for the last 4 years, unraced. Thanks to Norm for helping bring it back to life!!

Hello, yes wider!

Hey Norm I know you meant wider  :poke:, I mean how wide?  325 tire wide?
Also better for racing or street cruising?  Wider wheels & tires is a given but
how's about axles?  Not saying I'll ever be able to afford it, just happy that
this widebody doesn't sounds like flaring the OEM fenders or installing fender
flares because my def of true widebody is beltline down.  Kappa got back ;)

Wide body? Dang it Norm!!!

Kappa car at SEMA? Is GM rolling out a new Kappa line or are you showing  your new product there for us?
She's an 09 Brazen GXP.

Covered by Norms Fiberglass, DDM, WERKS, KappaSphere, Trifecta performance, Dejon performance, Solo performance, Magnaflow, Hahn, VDI, B&G, ASAP, WindRestrictor, Gravana, JPM, Santana, Madmod, HID pro, Second Skin Audio, mydipkit, Automotivetouchup.com and Smoothline.

To be or not to be hard, that is the question. I prefer my top off and still hard when I need it.
