But the roar and crescendo of the BIG V8 Engine that we all love and grew up with will soon be history and only to be seen in museums, and that is indeed a fact and I hate to see it!!!  The 2.0 4 cylinder engines are the future in cars and then later the electrics will inter the fray as the vehicle of choice because of clean air standards and how boring indeed they will be!  So, have fun kids while you can...you can at least tell your sons and daughters how it was in your lifetime!  I will have memories of riding with my grandpa in his black model A and then his model T Ford and the sound was golden!

I think the Red one is probably as fast or maybe faster.
That RED one sounded like it had  better cams, unless this black one is the same as the RED one.

3 door Hyundai Veloster, will have a turbo version this year if not not.  But you can't get the dual clutch automatic with the turbo, but you can get the 6 speed manual

I thought you drove one of those a while back and wasn't very impressed with it. But maybe I am confusing you with someone else. I do kind of like the way they look.

It reminded me of a very loud 5 gallon drum filled with nuts and bolts being shaked in front of a microphone.

I think your ears are following in your hips footsteps...  :D

Yeah it is a good looking car, with no power, that is why I have hopes for the turbo

I have to say that Ford can make a V8 sounds better than GM can.  None of my GM V8s (even with aftermarket exhaust) can rival the way my stock Boss 302 sounds.  That COPO Camaro sounds mean, but there is something else about a Ford V8.

I agree POS VETT!  Our early build 2000 Lincolyn Navigator (VIN 5LMFU28A2YLJ26130) with it's 300 HP @500 rpm and 8 cylinders providing 330 cubic inches at 2750 rpm and torque of 355 lbs @2750rpm and of course named "The Beast" and appropriately so because with a weight of 5,315 pounds of thunder it does look large sitting next to "Miss Red Eagle" in the garage.  With "The Beast" as her protector, nobody bothers with "Miss Red Eagle"!

Does the displacement get bigger or smaller when you increase the Revs? :poke:

Are you kidding me Sol Asylum!  Yes, Critter is right, Carol my wife wanted to get the "Beast" way back when we owned are 95' Firebird Formula with the 81U Bright Red-Primary paint and it was a S.O., had the LT1 5.7 Liter SFI V8 Engine and MN6 manual 6 speed transmission, every option possible, loved that car, out the door, drum roll.... $20,641.61 but it came to a bitter end when I totaled it hitting a 1969 Ford F150 red truck head on, and ended up down a 42 foot embankment!

Now, I loved that '95 Bird and cried when it died, but it led to us getting our 2000 Bi-Centennial Lincolyn Navigator, the protector to Miss Red Eagle!  Carol was convinced that we needed a bigger vehicle after the accident.

Sorry Ron but your post said the Beast has "330in3 at 2750 RPM"

That's why I asked what I asked.  All in the name of humor.

I love variable-displacement engines.  They are cool like that.
