Topic: Intermittant coolant light

A friend of ours has an 06 or 07 base model Solstice that has just started throwing intermittant cooling light warnings. The coolant level is ok. Any ideas? A common issue? Thanks.

If the coolant level is up to the middle of the reservoir, the only other thing that we have seen is some of the older cars, the front of the reservoir starts to point down, and by leveling back up the reservoir, problem solved.

IIRC it is not as prominent in the 2.4's

Not really, they bleed pretty easy. Also the low coolant light is tripped by the sensor located in the reservoir. Just to confirm, the low coolant warning they are getting is coming up on the DIC and says "Low coolant", is that right?

I don't know. I have not actually seen it. She was trying to describe it to me and I didn't think to ask. I'll find out more today.
