and so they don't feel left out, an off topic picture for the ladies

DeepBlueGXP · « **Reply #26 on:** March 06, 2009, 10:48:39 PM »

ok, I'm done with that...

G8TR · « **Reply #27 on:** April 01, 2009, 08:00:09 PM »

Best of all of the updates was the no reposting of pictures. Got tired of seeing same pics posted 4 or 5 times in a row.

Or just a bag, like the Aints from New Orleans did years ago.

Here's a thought for the Moderators.....Soon we will be having the hard top people joining and posting, giving us 3 models of the Solstice and 2 models of the Sky. Is there any way we can have the members car description as part of their profile that shows below their Icon on the left? That way, when people ask for help, we'll know right away if they have an N/A or GXP etc. I was thinking it would only require 1 more line that would show up under Location and Post Count. Something like this "Model: 2007 Solstice GXP" or "Model: 2008 Sky".

I know people can put that information in their signature, but most people don't do the signature, or if they do, they use that area to list their mods or a funky tag line. So, is it possible, and do you think you might do it if it is possible?

We can add a custom field now. I'll look into it.

DeepBlueGXP · « **Reply #35 on:** April 08, 2009, 06:58:12 AM »

Ok, there is now a field in your profile called "My Ride"
To add your ride.
Your Profile -> Forum Profile Information -> My Ride:
"What Kappa you are driving, YY, Make, Model. i.e. 07 Solstice GXP"
Once you have added your ride info to your profile, it will show up in your posts. on the left by your post count.

AWESOME!

But if it were simply "Ride" then we would have a little more room. We don't have "My Location", just "Location".

Thanks Joe!! I really do think this will help people help others. Bob....I kind of agree with you, although My Ride is cooler sounding lol On the other hand, I don't think you need to have the Rag Top as part of your ride description. We can probably assume rag top, unless you see the work Coupe?

DeepBlueGXP · « **Reply #38 on:** April 08, 2009, 02:12:54 PM »

perhaps on the hardtop guys need the word coupe. No need for rag top.

DeepBlueGXP · « **Reply #39 on:** April 08, 2009, 02:15:18 PM »

Since location is the standard field, I cannot manage it to be a mandatory field during registration. It is up to the user to update their profile once they become members.

I hear ya' but If it was just "Ride" then "08 Sol GXP coupe" it would all fit on one line.

The message windows keep gettin' longer as we keep adding stuff.

DeepBlueGXP · « **Reply #41 on:** April 08, 2009, 08:14:27 PM »

Shrink your font a little, yours looks fine to me.

Sly Bob · « **Reply #42 on:** April 08, 2009, 09:12:17 PM »

It fits on one line now as I shortened it up a bit. Doesn't really matter anyway 'cause for everyone that tries to fit it on one line, you have a description like Critterman who's would NEVER fit.

Like KWhale said, it'll be great when the Coupe guys start to come on the board.

DeepBlueGXP · « **Reply #43 on:** April 09, 2009, 06:44:38 AM »

SolNut's coupe was born yesterday so it begins.

09 Coupe GXP

G8TR · « **Reply #44 on:** April 09, 2009, 03:54:15 PM »

Good Luck to SolNut! Enjoy the twisties, enjoy the ride, hope you have as much fun as the rest of us have had with ours!
