Plus parts are made by Bosch and the best part is the tune is already developed and on GM computers so it is all profit at this point.  It would make 0 sense to stop selling something whose costs have already been incurred and every new one sold is just adding to income.

Now, that does not mean GM would not do something stupid.

Congrats wegman.  Perma-grin is about to take over your face.  Please, please...give us an update, when you are able to pry your hands off the steering wheel, and oh, don't forget to inhale now and then, so you don't turn blue from the excitement!  For sure, I am envious!!!!!!!

Wegman, did you buy yours from a dealership?  Just wondering... I ordered from Crate Engine Depot and am still on backorder.   :(

The real bummer is that last night I was following a friend of mine who drives a Infinity G37 Coupe and he pulled away from me on a freeway ramp.  It has a 3.7 liter with 330 hp, so with this upgrade and maybe, maybe, a tune from Westers, he might be the one watching my taillights.

I don't have the GMPP and I walk away from G37s.  I was on the interstate the other day and my friend was in his 97 Viper GTS, we were going about 65 and he was toying with me.  I put it in 3rd and waited for him to punch it and I pulled away from him too.  I love the Wester's tune!!!

Do you self a favor and if you are going to be getting the Westers anyway, get it now and then you can get a free update after the GMPP tune is put on.

I have played with a few G37's wouldn't say I walked away from any of them but I could keep up, one I tried off the line and maybe had him by a foot at 80 mph, I do have something in the works to fix that but it's still a secret until I make it work like it is supposed to, going to have to find a new dyno shop.

Evening all, I am new here but been reading a lot of interesting things. I have had my 07 GXP for almost 2 years now and bought the BSR tune 3-4 months after getting the car and haven't had any problems with it. the tune produces 23 pounds of boost, raises redline in first and second to 7000 with a 2500 rpm stall for launch off the line. If I had it to do over I would stick with BSR, its a quick install and if needed back to stock before taking it back to the dealer. Its easy to update over the internet at no extra cost. the kit cost me 850 and its a real blast when installed, has never thrown a code... Anyway that's my 2 cents worth

I am a little confuse guys if your RWHP with Lydon's Race tune is in the 280's which equates to 336 to 346 then G37's and 370 Z's should not be a problem.
We have more power and less weight, so if the figures above are correct then they should not be a problem.

the 280 was the first race tune, not my current setup.  Ask Cheers, he had the first Race tune and I've been testing tunes for Lyndon.  He wanted the latest real bad after driving my car for an evening.  Then he said he had to relearn to drive his car AGAIN as compared to the race tune...

I believe I'm close to what you are for RWHP even though I don't have a inducer wheel upgrade...

What confuse me was lil goat post, I thought he had Lyndon's race tune also and was testing even a more advance tune.
He even hinted about the 255KPA been already bypass, I assume by Lyndon's programming expertise and knowledge.
I am hoping that DirtyMike that has Lyndon's tune and the BTF wheel would get an upgrade from Lyndon and see how much more power this combination can provide.

Joe's right!!  I had one of the earlier tunes -- April 08  A few weeks ago I needed to uses Renee and was really surprised because at that time she and Cheers were similar in terms of CAT, CATBACK etc. but there was a major difference --- so I had the new tune that Joe had settled on installed and WOW it was very similar to the experience I had when I first got the tune.  You have to learn how to drive all over again in order to keep it on the road.

I am just telling you what happened, I did not speak to the guy in the G 37 he could have had mods too, looked like he may have at least had a custom exhaust. I have the same tune as Joe, Off the line the G 37 had me , I did catch him and pass him. I have not gone up against a G 37 from a rolling start, makes a big difference. Turbo cars do better from a rolling start, 3rd gear is a monster, it is going to get faster very soon. Remember in a street race you have no idea what the other guy has done just like they don't know what we have done. I know of at least one G35 that I would not mess with, but with the hood closed you can't see the twin turbo's, I have beaten some Corvette's and had some drive away from me, I beat most Mustang's but not all and for the most part I can't tell them apart. I have no problem believeing Joe drove away from the Viper, I remember he couldn't keep up with Joe, Dark Tech or me on the way to Skyline last year. The GXP is just ridiculus from about 60 up to 120. I would guess we are all at 300 rwhp or better now, most likely in the 340 tq range, just by the feel. I need to find a new dyno shop!

all right the tune is in :dancing: and all i can say is wow!!!  :drag: 1st to 2nd has allways been fast :brnout: but 3rd to 4th at 90mph at 6500ish rpms !!the pull from 60 to 140MPH is unreal for a gm tune !!!  im excited  :woohoo:   the dealer ordered it for me.. the thing is is that the guy that ordered the parts called the warehouse like 4X a week for over 2 months :poke: so they claim that he got the first one..lol.. interesting enough i was reading over the install paper work and it shows it was first put out in sep of 08 and revised nov 27, 2008 and then revised again on feb 27,2009 for the O rings.. install took about  1.5 hrs and $120.... and as far as racing.. stock keep in mind!!! gxp vs stock g35, 350z, gt mustangs the gxp took first place every time.. now that i have the tune... its just a question of how bad i beat them!! :award:

DeepBlue, I'd really like to get the Wester's tune but I'm kind of scared to do it because I don't know much about installing updates or anything.  From everything I've read on these posts, it seems like I should have HPTuners, or at least know someone nearby who has it so I can easily install updates.  I guess I just have too many questions about it.  I would do it right now if I had a better understanding of it.  Actually, I think I really need a tune because I don't think I'm getting the full benefit of my Mach exhaust and CAT having the stock tune.  But what do I know?  Not much, really.  Still, I really want to blow the doors off my buddy in his G37.  I think it would really bother him if my cheap Pontiac could dust his fancy Infiniti.   :drag:
