Topic: Steering wheel lock

My steering wheel doesn't work anymore.  I can insert the key and start no problem but when I take  the key out the steering wheel will not lock even if I turn the wheel L&R.  I put the car up on jacks this winter to install a new HiFlo CAT and dual exhaust and while up on the jacks I did turn on the ignition to test my new sequential turn signals and brake module. It was locked and it did unlock when I turned the key.  I took  the car for the year's first run  the other day and afterwards it would not lock when the key was removed.  What is the problem???  At least it hasn't jambed up on me.

Sorry, false alarm.  Seems that I didn't turn the wheel far enough. It works. Sorry about the post

Henry, no reason to be sorry for the post. It's great to have you here and here's hoping for a great summer of top down driving.   

Let us know how you make out with the turn signal issue when you have a chance to have a look at it.

I don't recall needing to turn the wheel very far. Could be a sign of something going wrong. Ignition interlock or some such device?
