Speaking of which
Has anyone every heard of this company?
http://www.fmsrperformance.com/test/index.php?route=product/category&path=20_27

Crazy thing is, they are only 85 miles from me

never heard of them!   but definitely a good find!

I checked their website, and they have tons of their own products for ecotec upgrades...........rods, blocks, rotors...etc

they also do cryo-treatment, if you're interested with that.

you should drive and checked them out...and talked to the owners...and see whats up.

Just read all 9 pages of this and I just wanted to throw my  :2c: in...

1.  gmtech16450yz has some good points on a lot of things mentioned regarding the EFR.  Out here in Metro Detroit, we have quite a few shops that have iterated more or less the same points he has made.
2.  For all the research I have done on my own prior to reading the 9 pages of this thread, I was already leaning towards getting the PAW EFR kit and have seen the benefits compared to the GT2871R.  I talked with Spike in NY and he said that he loved his DDM kit, however, he still wanted more after he had it for a bit.  When I talked to him, he didn't have the solstice anymore.  It was long gone and he had his new Challenger with a full exhaust and a supercharger kit on it.  So needless to say he got impatient lol.
3.  ZZP, which is only 2 hours from my house, is exactly what elff and Sky888 say.  They offer a few good products, but also quite a few bad ones.   The folks who know this company, know what to stay away from.

Horsepower is addicting for sure.  If it was me buying a kit, the EFR, for me, is a better solution because I may be going up in power after that initial kit and rebuild the motor.  So investing into the new manifold, etc, etc, is what would be best.

That's old info...

basically the efrs took place of our wr2 wr3 precision based turbos.... our wr1 is still precision based as customers like it but the bigger ones had a real lack of sales so now the wr2 is a 6258 and wr3 a 6758. everything is a direct bolt on. will come with everything you need to adapt your piping and intake. also we do a kappa based waste gate bracket and drain as well as they are different then the cobalts.

Wow, hadn't noticed that.  Looks like it's the same Turbine Housing as the ZZP ZFR?  Maybe Werks should put something in the description that says it's an EFR CHRA and comp housing...

Weird

What do they mean by "Kappa Chassis" on the second drop down?
The kit is for a Kappa, so why would you need to pay $55 more for a "Kappa Chassis"

The Forge bypass valve is a nice option

That is weird how its put in there...

But the extra is for the wastegate modification most likely.

Its just odd that you choose kappa, turbos, then have to choose kappa again.

Great news, but totally confusing if it is going to be called the same as the older Precision based turbos. I look forward to reading more on this.

If you guys are reading off the PAW website for the WR2 and WR3, it doesn't look accurate if it is referencing an EFR turbo. The compressor wheel description is not an EFR compressor wheel AFAIK.

Elff,

To hopefully answer your questions -

We have the Kappa option in the drop down areas because the Kappa setup uses a different WG actuator mount as well as includes a silicone outlet adapter for the passenger side IC piping.  The Cobalt and HHR versions do not.  I added the EFR bolt on turbos to one section and just copied them to the other vehicle platforms that it fits instead of making different entries for the different platforms...

Yes, our website is very "1999" as you say but it works, is secure and is easy for me to update which is why we have kept it that way for so long.  We actually had contracted a so called "developer" to create new site, well 2 years and a couple thousand dollars later I had nothing so I still have a bad taste in my mouth from that and am very apprehensive to get in bed with another "developer"

With that said if you know of any site developers that are willing to tackle an upgrade for us, maybe for some car parts let me know, I am very interested in getting in into your 21st century or whatever century this is here... :)

So that $55 is on top of the base price on that page.
I understand, but can see this confusing a lot of people.
Might be worth editing the Kappa page.

Kelu does some web stuff
I could do it, if I didn't have already have a full time job.  Same goes for the people I know who also do this stuff.
Sounds like you could too.  Just need a new storefront and take the time to do a ton of data entry.

The issue here is the price of the ZZP vs Werks for the same product.
I certainly like to support our vendors but at $2399 plus $55 more, we are now talking $2454.00 vs $1899.00 for the same converted EFR-6758.

We also need Dyno sheets since we have some preliminary numbers of the ZZP in a KAPPA on this thread, although the numbers maybe actually higher.
It seem it behave better on the street vs the Dyno shop tuning session.

As far as the web page I think Kelu would be a good person to start with and if he cannot do it maybe he knows of some good people.

Also Sly Bob's son comes to mind.

Dang, I always assumed the those WR series were Precision turbos and they had separately the EFR raw and EFR complete set up. Good thing to know. The price kept me away from looking too hard. That could open the door for the WR3 if its an EFR 6758 direct bolt on for an OEM manifold. For LV, is the WR3 meant for the twin scroll? and No additional BOV needed correct?

I wish I did websites! GJ, can I have some more money.

The WR series turbos were precision based.

The WR1 still is.
