Well, let's see....the last time Pat and I were active was right around the time of my heart surgery. Since then, I stepped on a yellow jacket nest doing yard work, was stung 65+ times (we stopped counting welts) and tore my groin muscle hurdling a retaining to flee the attack, suffered a severe flareup of piriformis syndrome (irritation of the sciatic nerve by the piriformis muscle), had prostate surgery for BPH, surgery for bilateral inguinal hernia repair, a colonoscopy, and repair of severe cartilage damage in the right hand first thumb joint. Plus Pat had a total thyroidectomy and has a real tough time with medication dosages to compensate. Sometimes she's not a very nice person, and it bothers her 'cause she knows it and can't do anything about it (or at least that's her story - I wonder). Sometimes I believe we keep the local hospital open all by ourselves. The good news is, I'm staying active in the cardio program at the clinic there and have lost 12 lbs, trimmed over 2" off my waist, have maxed the weight bench there and consistantly record BP in the 125/75 range and keep my pulse near 55 resting. Oh, it's amazing what all those surgeries will do for your modesty. I have none at this point!
