How was the install? Pretty easy and was the carpet hard to reinstall?
Thinking of doing that just wondering how difficult it is going to be.

Doors are a pain, lots of trimming to do.  You have to pull everything apart in the cabin so that takes a while, less fussy than the doors though.  Don sent me the pieces pre cut to cover the holes in the door though , don't think he is doing that now. Trunk is actually pretty easy compared to the rest, it does get a little tight getting the one piece trunk mat back in.

I did it over 3 days, probably took 10-12 hrs of work with a helping hand from a neighbour. I didn't disconnect the battery , nothing happened as a result. Glad I did it now its behind me, car sounds solid.

My plans are to do all of the interior (doors, rear waterfall area, floors and the rear panels behind the doors).
I think I will get the whole kit do the trunk area at a later date.

Agree,  That's what I did.  Also - as a tip - you can break the install up into two stages...
1. The doors (or even each door separately).  When you've cut one door, use the MLV as a template to do the other.
2. The cabin, floor and back wall.  You need to pull everything out, so may as well do these at one shot.

Then if you ever DO do the trunk, that'll make the 3rd (4th) stage

With the additional weight of doing a complete sound deadening install, do you think I could off set noise/weight  of catlessness and muffler delete? My K1S muffler probably weighs best part of 35 lbs.

I run a catless setup on my car, and the sound deadener did a nice job toning down the interior resonance.  Is it gone?  No.  Is it much better?  Definitely.  Road noise and rattles are gone!  Stereo sounds amazing!!!!  For the money, it's a homerun mod!

Then carpet in the trunk can be a bit of a pain.  It is pre-molded carpet.  The additional sound deadening material makes it tight, but with some tweaking, it goes back in place.  Interior carpet was really simple to put back in.  Everything went back really snug.  Don't forget, you are removing the stock GM "sound deadening", so this creates a little more room on the floors.  The stock stuff is horrible and actually peeled right up using my hands and a scraper with minimal work.

Actually, in my case it was a royal pain to get the stock asphalt up/off.  May be an age thing (the older, the easier).  For me that was the worst bit of the whole install.

It's not difficult, but it IS time consuming.  TechSolOnt's estimate is pretty much right on the money.

TomatoSoup   In hot weather its a real Bi%^h in the cooler weather we peeled it up with our fingers . When Don and I did mine he used a heatgun / I used a b-tank torch .
Maybe we should have used Dry Ice to make the metal cold.
