There have been lots of discussions about Facebook recently, from discussions about nationals to members that are trying to get votes for their car in vendor supported campaigns. A vendor here is giving away free reusable air filters on his Facebook page this week

Do you have Facebook and if you do, do you use it much? You can vote without posting in the thread.

but yes, I am on FB and I use it as much as I do the forums. I am also a computer support person, so I have to know how FB affects all my users, and it's the only way I seem to be able to communicate with my children these days . . .

im on there all the time. I was on it when it was for "college students only" and that was the fun times. Then FB went public and everyone had to sensor everything that they put on there.

As far as my privacy, I dont have anything super revealing on there, nor any really good contact info, so im not worried about my info being searchable either. I do have my privacy settings all maxed out.

As much as you all like to think FB is a huge privacy issue, I dont see it that way. I pay my taxes, I don't do anything illegal and I have nothing to hide. I have no more personal info on there than i do with any other car forum, and its a FANTASTIC way to keep in touch with people you would never know anything about. IE all the kappa kids across the country, stay in contact with HS friends who have moved away, etc. I dig it, and I love that i can host all my photos on there for free, and do so with a simple and fast upload from my phone.

I use fb to keep in touch with my friends from all over the world! So easy, isn't it? and free. I make sure my privacy is maxxed to death. Only my buddies can see nekid pics of me.

Had it since it was for students only but now I just use it to really follow performance shops and breweries to see what's new.

NO & NEVER about sums it up.
Some Companies are offering discounts threw FB and Im like OH WELL not this GUY. I really don't care how great or how much of a discount just not for me. Too much of my info is already too freely available i really don't want anymore out there.

Facebook is not free. If you're not paying for it, YOU are the product. I read this somewhere and it makes alot of sense.

100%, I have nothing to hide that I haven't set my privacy settings to hide.
At least most people on FB don't hide behind "handles" which seems to make it more civil to me.
If you are stupid enough to post things you don't want the world to see, then you only have yourself to blame.
