hahaha!  not really arabas! :)

We are trying to buy a house, and that would be a better gift! :)

yeah, Norm will customize me a viper-style hood that will be wider, so it can accomodate my 10" wheels, and a little bit higher so it can accomodate that 3" pipe on top of the engine.   Norm is already finished with the fenders that will align perfectly with this wide hood.

So is it getting harder to wait the closer the install gets to being finished?

You might as well have a spare set of rear tires for that beast, because once you finally get behind the wheel, I can see you driving the crap out of them

I have my own 2br - 2 bath condo which I bought 2 yrs ago (no car garage).

My wife is excited to buy a 4br - 2.5 baths (FIXER UPPER) which is the same price as my condo last year.   With an attached 2 car garage!!! :)

Our contractor quoted us about $85k for a TOTAL re-gut of the house from top to bottom.....and add radiant floor heat.  About 2 months to finish.

So I'm excited, hopefully the sellers accept our offer).

LIPSTICK once finished, will have a new stable with roofing this time...lol.

We are hoping to finish the build Spring 2012.

That's why I have a square set-up with my wheels/tires....so I can at least rotate them........and delay getting new tires...lol.

Plus I think I will not daily drive the car like I used to.  I'll probably just drive it 3 times a week......and no longer 7 times a week.

So it will take two weeks to burn thru the tires instead of one?

more aggressive cams with bigger fuel lobe (provides about 20% more fuel) just arrived today! :)

Thanks to John Brungard (forum member) who helped me get this for a deep discount.

these cams together with my secondary fuel system will compliment each other to provide enough fuel for lipstick!  :)

NEW placement of big turbo in order to close the hood completely.

So far the only significant changes required for this to fit is a new raditor package., leaned forward and narrower.
moved fusebox
relocated power cables
and a torque arrester to limit engine rock to +/- 1/2"

So my question is when this is done, are you going to track the car at all? I recall in other threads you said you would drive it a couple times a week.

I'm curious what it will run on the strip.

already did that a couple of times 2 years ago.   Kicked out twice at New England Dragway, and was already warned that they'll ban my car if I do it again.   They're very serious with it since they follow strict NHRA rules.

I can't risk it anymore...

Find a different track, back off around 3/4 track, and then use the 8th mile time.

I believe the closest one near me is in new york/new jersey area.   Only 4 hours away.......

I'm not even sure, if they'll even let me run w/o a roll bar over there...

I wana do it right, and just get a roll bar first.....before wasting my time driving that far.

So I can get a REAL time.

Car will be too heavy with a roll bar.  You'll never break 15 seconds with the roll bar.

yup, I was there 2 years ago (Spring Nationals at Englishtown).    Its around 4.5 hours away from me.   I actually tried to run, since they didnt know my car there.   I ran once and was easy on the car and got sub 13s already and was booted out right away too. lol

I ended up joining the car show instead and won $500 for Best Domestic :)

888: common, race that beast, even someone like me raced on Englishtown

When I was there it was an BMW M6 cabrio (same track limitations as Kappa) and because it was a Wednesday or Thursday testing evening the officials were pretty relaxed and didn't kicked him out of track even he got 1-2 warnings.

kelu........kenny's car got some RMR roll bar! ;)
thats probably why  ...i dunno.

I don't know why Techs are very hard on my car all the time :(   I guess the stickers all over my car irritates the track techs....compared to other clean cars.

you just dont know how frustrated I am that I cant use it at the track.

Thats why CT_solstice, his buddy, and I.....are really planning to have roll-bars on our cars installed.   We have a shop in mind now that can install it.    I want this bad.....
