Damn, so you are going to uninstall everything and re-install it.
That's a lot of work

Remember, after the coolant issue.....most parts of my manifold was removed to get into the water pump?

Then since my head was lifting we had to remove the head completely to check the head gasket?

The head gasket was definitely damaged, and needs to be replaced.

While the head was out, BTF saw that my valves were different and discovered that SMG screwed me?

Then he saw that two sleeves of my block sunk and the deck needs to be machined?

So basically the whole engine was out due to the above mentioned issues.

It's not like, I'm trying to spend more money and getting all these upgrades for no reason :)

Maybe! Lol

But it will never happen, since I like my car (sky) better than solstice.

Disco Potato turbo definitely made the the system way snappier and wakes the Gt4294r up alot faster

At 6200rpm - 52lbs ve flow (40psi)

Too bad at 3800 (35psi), the vibrant vanjen clamp broke today! :(

I believe time to upgrade to Wiggins Clamp!

Long long time ago......Garrett turbo company developed a turbo for this project car called "disco potato" that has an sr20 engine.
Although it only made 280whp, the  car was very responsive. Spool was almost non existent.
The turbo used in this vehicle is the gt2860rs also become popularly known as disco potato

Wouldn't t-bolt clamps be more robust?

No bob, using t-bolt clamps usually means using a silicone to attach a charge pipe to an intercooler's end. Sometimes this t-bolt will slip, or the silicone rips.

I'm using Vibrant vanjen clamps that locks up two aluminum assemblies together.
It has o-rings to keep it fully sealed as well.

But I wish I used Wiggins brand, which is the best of the best, it's about $300 a set those.
I needed 3 sets for my application tho.

Anywho, you can see here where I used the vanjen clamps

For GJ
Quote from: superstreetonline
Several Garret executives also experienced the Potato. They were so impressed, they decided to produce the turbo, double the engineering staff in the aftermarket department, and start applying this modern Garrett technology to a whole range of aftermarket turbos. Technically, this is a GT28R with a 62 trim compressor (.60 A/R) and a 76 trim turbine (.86 A/R), but you don't need to know that. Ask anyone at Garrett for a Disco Potato turbo, and this is what you'll get.
