Today, I professionally detailed Lipstick inside and out!  :)

Well this morning was my first time to drive her around the city and highway to get used to with the new power.  I'm sory no videos since I don't have a gopro.  I wana do it with my phone but it will not be safe.

All I can say is, even with the low boost setting (37psi), it as so worth the wait!  Instant spool by 2800 rpm and full boost by 4500rpm!   The sound of the engine and the look of the car are such an attention whore!

I can't wait to ty the high boost setting (45psi)

here's the road tune that BTF made for me.

As you can see the boost is high, BUT the timing is only 7 degrees, AND no signs of any knock whatsover.

It can easily gets way more whp/tq if we bump that timing to 15-20 degrees.   We can do that later on, since the power is way more than I can enjoy especially on the streets.

Just want to get comfortable with the power first....then later upgrade for more power.  Safety first

I was actually scared to drive her last Sunday lol!

It's been about 6 years since I drove her..........and I've been driving small automatic cars (Nissan leaf for 3 years, and Nissan sentra for 2 yrs)  :slap:

but it's just riding a bike......once you know how to ride, you'll be fine :)

Is this a 3rd gear pull? Thats awesome to hit that speed in 3rd! I'm guessing the increase in rpm's is really worth it then!

Well, after several years, LIPSTICK is finally coming back!

Lots of changes since I received my car last year from BTF. After a few months, noticed lots of issues
- oil, fuel, boost leaks
- 4 bar map sensor used by manifold and 3 bar sensor on another....using 4 bar map tune! Wtf! No wonder the car never ran right.

So I went to Six Sigma tuning, owned & operated by Kevin Jewer. He is actually the one who inspired me to build a compound turbo.
He drag races  his 7 sec compound dsm
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=h_M7hGaQ9UM

So he took my car to fix all the issues, and run the compounds properly.

Last week, Here’s the initial dyno run for the 116 octane tune that produced 535hp & 480tq @ 39psi.

Here’s what my compound turbos (gt2860rs & gt4294r) are doing.

It spools 29psi at 3500rpm, but I think we can even bring it down to 3000rpm

Hopefully, with more boost (5-7psi) and extra 900rpm, it will make more. So we’ll see......

Recently, tuner Added 5psi, LIPSTICK is now at 560hp & 520tq. Very broad powerband now.
Previously, it was at 39psi, 535hp 480tq.

We are currently experiencing spark blowout even at .22gap. This is our current limitation and not even fuel!
We’ll try using copper plugs instead of iridium and do one more day of tuning. If that doesn’t help, we’ll wrap it up.

Here’s the dyno sheet:  http://i65.tinypic.com/24xe5qb.jpg

Kelu!

The tune is pretty much done. Just wana try copper plugs & see if spark blowout can be avoided. Hope to squeeze 10-30hp?

Pick up is May 20! So not going to museum! Lol

Hope you can figure out the blowout.

Yeah kinda stuck in the 560-580hp range right now due to spark blow out.

Copper spark plugs have way more conductivity compared to the iridiums, so hopefully solve the blowout, and can squeeze out some more horses.

But yeah, On it’s current power of 560hp, it’s way enough. Plus the tq curve is already amazing. Can’t wait to drive it this month! :)

No!!!!! Lol!

I had the car last year & was driving it while fixing some of the oil/fuel/boost leaks for about 3 months. Then drive it to Kevin Jewer around November 2017 :)

Forgot to mention some of the updates last year.......I ditched the port injection kit! It caused a lot of boost and fuel leaks....and harder to tune with the ECM.

To make my already complicated turbo tuning....a bit easier, I removed the split sec and Port Injectors.

 I bought a lingenfelter hpfp https://www.lingenfelter.com/product/L710156914.html

By upgrading into a higher flowing hpfp and paired it with Opel Injectors...............plus not using Ethanol and Methanol............the fuel system was able to flow enough fuel at these power levels.
Plus of course tuning the DI is now simpler instead of trying to use split sec controller to work with the ecm.
