Kappa Billet Cup Holders are back
« on: September 17, 2012, 09:11:14 PM »
Rich aka speedsports66 is offering another group buy of the Santana Kappa billet cup holders.  Since he's not in business to make these for a store front, they are offered as a special group buy on Kappa Performance.

Normally $150.00 Polished or $165.00 Black Anodized plus shipping $10 for U.S. and $20 for international

5% Group buy up to 29, $142.50 polished or $156.75 Black Anodized plus shipping $10 for U.S. and $20 for international
10% Group buy for 30 or more, $135.00 polished or $148.50 Black Anodized plus shipping $10 for U.S. and $20 for international

Offer is only good through the end of October so spread the word to your friends on the other forums.

These are great cup holders, I've had one for several years.  They hold up way better than the cheap a$$ GM $104 cup holders which break very easily.

With this new group buy, Rich is offering the cup holders at 5% off (plus shipping).  Once the group buy reaches 30, he will offer the cup holders at 10% off (plus shipping)

Don't worry.  If you paid for one before the 10% discount went into affect, Rich will refund the additional 5%

Three ways to order
1. PM Rich You can click on this link
2. Call 530.295.3727
3. Email sales at santanainteriors dot com
Then don't forget to post here so the moderators can tally the members

Forum Guests (non registered members), you MUST mention KappaPerformance to get into the group buy, otherwise you WILL NOT get the discount.

1. JoshMcMadMac - paid
2. critter
3. Dragonsky - paid
4. cdnite - paid
5. gmtech16450yz - paid
6. 1lilndn - paid
7. msinawsk - paid
8. Ag_Sky - paid
9. ula lani

There is a limited supply of cup holders ready to ship in a few days after ordering so you won't have to wait for 30 to get yours.

Joe,  you may want to spread this out on the other boards.  I too have had the Santana cup holder in my car since the first offering.  Never had an issue and love it.

I can't due to the forum cross linking rules on SF.  I guess we can make a mention of it on this forum without posting links

The middle photo is an install on a Sky.  You only have to remove the old cup holder and place the new one up to the car, drill two tiny screw holes and install the screws.

It's so easy even a critter can do it.  Hardest part is getting the old one out, if you don't know the trick.

OK, I'll bite - what's the trick? Usually when there is a 'trick' quoted as being involved it might mean that a few people learned what the 'trick' was the hard way. Hope not...

It's easy. Just use a butter knife. Open the old cup holder, place the knife between the silver upper frame of holder and console while wiggling the holder up and down. Once you feel the upper give way, then do the same for the lower frame. It's not rocket science, just a little wiggling.

Or you can push one end in until it gives and then you rotate it, and it slides right out.

For those of you that bought one of the originals, what is your thought on the polished vs. black anodized? I like the idea of the black, but if it doesn't match well, I'd rather go for the purposeful contrast of the polished. Our goal is to have all of our mods look like they could have been stock.

For those looking to buy, PM me with your email address so I can PayPal you for the cup holder. Also in the email, let me know what color and where we are shipping to. I didn't see a time frame, but this offer is good thru the end of October. Makes a great Christmas gift!! :)
Thanks!!

Black looks like it came in the car.

SA that is the 'other' trick, but has limited applications.

Another great, but unsung, feature of these is that they have a magnet in the tip that keeps and pulls them closed. Pretty cool.

Not that I don't like these billet cup holders, but I have never really ever had a problem with my stock one.  It's a daily driver, for 4 years now, with heavy almost daily usage of the sub holder with my thermal cup, and it still works just fine.  Maybe I just want an excuse to buy this ;)

My stocker works just fine as well. If you know the tricks to shutting it, it always closes without issue. If you shut it like a gorilla or do not know the tricks, yes it will break
