That must have been after I got rid of my Kappa, my last mod meet was Kelu's first. Didn't know Kelu made passes at MIR.

Where is Kelu anyway?

FWIW Import vs. Domestic is a couple weeks away, best event MIR puts on. Well worth making the trip to watch.

As far as the Dorman and "Propshaft Mechaniks" CV, they both use a smaller ball bearing at ~0.686" (11/16"?) where the OEM is 0.748" (19mm?). The shiny bigger balls are 3/4" new ones I picked up to see if I can upgrade the OEM ones. I have installed the propershaft mechaniks value CV for the dyno pulls, if it survives that then it's an okay replacement for a stock ride.

The ebay special shaft has survived the dyno pulls, multiple 400 ftlb pulls. I changed a street driving habit; I stopped downshifting and engine braking. As I get some more miles we will see. There is talk of going back to the strip (cooler temps) so I may do that and see how what happens to the CV. As far as going back to OEM, it is an option...I'd like a torque arm if I do that though.

Dyno Results In

Max achieved independently: 444 whp and 422 wtq

Red: 15 psi
Blue: 18 psi
Green: 21 psi
Orange: 25 psi
Black: max HP pull is 15 psi then at 5k the dyno operator put it into scramble 25 psi

Previous best at 18 psi on the stock LE5, same hot side (manifold, turbo, exhaust) 317 whp / 329 wtq here: https://imgur.com/a/Dcrz8

Last Tuesday I took the car out to see how it was in cold weather before going to test & tune. I hit 28 psi, where my max at the 78F track was 24-25. Gain is set pretty low on the GFB boost controller, it should be targeting 25 psi; so maybe running out of wastegate harder to control pressure.

That is when I lost a ZZP ignition coil and the timing tensioner at the same time I think. It started actual misfiring and not running good and there was a constant rattle noise, from the valve cover not lifters for sure. I pulled injector plugs 1-by-1 until the idle didn't change, lost #4. I pulled the valve cover and found the chain was loose, drooping. The guides up top seemed okay from what I could tell, so I pulled the tensioner and found it came apart. Also the C-clip is MIA inside the engine somewhere; cross-fingers it fell into the pan all the way, not waiting to get sucked into a chain. Will be probing with a magnetic tool you never know. I contacted ZZP and on the same day they replied implying more coils will be in stock in about a month and I will be taken care of.

I don't think I will make it to the track for a record breaking run, it's forecasted to be cloudy, breezy 45F. With that I've cleaned out the garage and pulled the car in; I look forward to doing the work during [not summer] so I can enjoy it during summer this time. I'm glad I ripped on the car with the turbo to find weaknesses/issues: like the fuel system, intercooler sucks, rear end mods, driveshaft woes, tensioner failure, and on a better note proving out custom modifications are passing.

did you secure the chain at the cams at all?

If you're referring to servicing this: I put the crank at TDC Cyl 1 comp stroke, then paint marked the chain links at each of the Cam Gear timing marks just in case it skipped while servicing.

The fleabay-steal carboned and sludged LSJ intake was taken to a shop to clean out, considering it's freezing and dark out most of my days this will be worth the monetary investment. The intake was actually not bad at all since it came with the ZZP dual pass upgrade! The laminova cores were removed with a hose clamp, good tip from the other forums. I degreased and US cleaned the cores, not bad but a little brown.

*note the proposed cutoff location on the M62 SC body =)

Christmas Break fun. Didn't put in a lot of time on this particular project, but I did put some deal breakers to rest by mocking it up. The lsj intake manifold cleaning job I commissioned turned out great too. I chopped the SC housing using a 4.5" grinder with cutoff wheel.

I was able to re-route that wiring harness to the lower side of the SC, just need to extend the windshield washer connector if this is the final plan.

Clearance check with hood fully closed, that is a 3" donut tube and is not touching the hood right there. Plan is to run the pipe over the SC hugging it, above the "driverside" SC rotor so some good clearance there.

ALnut cut in half (like a donut but aluminum), you can't bend 3" tube that tight so why you would go with this:
