Okay, I guess I have to tell the story of the wheels, just don't hate me when it's done. About 8 months after I bought the car (Feb 2008), so October, I'm talking to the service manager at my Saturn dealership, while they were doing an oil change. He told me that, at a Saturn store that the conglomerate had closed, he had a set of wheels that were taken off another Sky, that the owner didn't want. I inquired as to their difference and he said he liked them better then stock. I came to find out later that they were a $2300 upgrade.
Anyway, he kept telling me that they were starting to bring over the parts from the other store and he would notify me when these wheels came in. I waited through October, November and December. I was back in January for an install on the car and I asked him again. The wheels still hadn't made it. Finally, in March of 2009 I asked again and when he asked the parts guy he was told they were in back. I asked to see them and once I did I knew I had to have them.
I inquired as to what he wanted for them and he told me $300. I was thinking $300 apiece, I was wrong, he wanted $300 for the set! I had them changed out while I waited. After they had been changed he asked if I was coming back for the chrome 5 spoke wheels that were taken off the car. I couldn't believe it, a huge upgrade and I could keep my wheels also?
Came back later that day and picked up my old wheels which I sold later for more then I paid for the new ones. I picked up a spare at a wheel place from Georgia, don't remember it's name (I will look for it).
So that's the story, special option and I got lucky to get them.
