Working on a custom mount for my Ultragauge today.  It will attach to the left of the steering column placing the UG above the right switch stalk.

I probably won't take pics, 'cos nobody cares about my mods.  (Sob!)

I only read the forum for the pictures (oops I mean articles) :D

^^^ That's not good, no oil light & how many miles sense the last oil change.

Mike
had it changed right before we left on vacation, odds are the tech only put in 2 quarts, the odd noises turned out to be the missing oil, not the throw out bearing, amazing how quiet it became once it had the full compliment of Mobil 1...the owner will be getting a letter, and will know that if their screw up causes any residual issues, they will be paying some one else to make it right...makes me sick to think I was screaming down Hellbender, and assorted other mountain back roads, plus all the highway miles for hours every day, on 2 qts..suffice it to say, I won't trust them to touch any of my vehicles, ever again. CEL for the cam pos sensor quit going off, also.

Aspen rose,
I'm not sure if that's good news, or bad.  Glad it was a simple fix.  Hope nothing comes of it.

me too, me too. it ran great for the 400 miles home, impressed by the fact (so far) that it took that abuse, and seems ok. but it gets mighty boring running for days with no music playing, just so I could listen for inappropriate noises!

new iridium plugs installed.  DEI heat-wrapped my K&N intake, installed with heat shield. I cannot believe how massive the stock intake setup is!!! shaved a pound or two off the front end! lol
       Installed lightweight battery from WERKS.
Put her on the DYNO.  Dyno-Tuned her with HP Tuner software, increased timing, increased rev limiter, made 200ft lbs torque to the wheels.  Still cannot believe she made 200ft lbs!!!  Dyno tuning is by far the best way to do this motor rather than non-specific tunes.
Radiator flush coming this week with DEI coolant and water-wetter.  Considering installing a lightweight radiator.... anyone know of any vendors with one that will fit?
Dimpled and slotted rotors installed with ceramic brake pads. Painted my calipers black.
Installed Koni shocks on Eibach pro springs.... LOVE this setup.  solid, quieter than stock and the ride height is PERFECT.  Swapped out the stabilizer links all-around for preventative maintenance. Wish I would have upgraded all my bushings while it was all apart :(   Lubed the old stuff.
Though I realize I could make more power with an exhaust setup, it's just not in the cards, I HATE the ricey sound of a 4-cylinder.

I will admit, the stock exhaust being drowned out by my cold air intake setup sounds AWESOME. sounds like a street bike.  I think I will get a hi-flow cat and tune on the Dyno again though. Shouldn't increase the noise too much.
Oh yeah, I also installed my custom painted black billet front grill and removed the chrome bird-beak from the front end. Looks much cleaner.  Also installed my Redline black headlights, and put H11 LED's in my foglights.
As for the future of my exterior:  Norm's Viper hood, Norm's fenders and painting that stupid silver window frame BLACK!  :)  oh, and paint my door handles black too.  Chrome is so 1995.....

I always check the dipstick if someone else changes the oil in a car of mine.  Admittedly it's usually just to confirm the new oil is clean (and has actually been changed) but you'd catch under or overfill issues too.

Damn Mel if it wasn't for bad luck,  let's hope no damage was done.  Cams are moved by oil pressure, so the CEL going out is a good sign.  Anyone you trust to pull the valve cover and take a good look at the top of the head, cams and lifters?

Aspen Rose - Glad to hear that you found your problem!  If it were mine, I would get an oil analysis pronto to look for any high metal content in the oil.  That would be a good indicator of any damage to bearings and journals.

Good luck!

Lucky! Always wanted to see a shuttle launch down there. Had to content myself with the online feed, same as always.

Which was it? Day or Night?  Are sure you were really there? Most people could at least remember if it was day or night....

GJ
This one was at 8:56 this am, not sure when Bobby's was. It was very overcast and gray. I have before pics that almost look black and white. Needless to say the shuttle really lit up under the clouds and made it look almost like it had been launched at dawn/dusk. I have plenty more pics and a video.
