Drove it, first time out in 2011. Cleaned the rotors the fun way. Checked the local roundabout a couple times just be sure the tires are still sticky. Found the radio was not nearly as fun as listening to the machine.  Waved at a young couple in a white top off Sol. Didn't  wave at the sherriff that was paying too much attention to me.... 999 is now just over 400 miles,  All and all a fun one hour drive and everything seems good, so good...

Shiny are you saying that Critter is less grouchy, as if possible, latter in the day?

Critter is happy as long as he gets what he wants/needs ;0

Critter and I had this discussion at the MM. He has a hi flow cat and the SQR2 (Mach Shorty) exhaust.

You and I had a discussion at the MM (Food Lion) and I still dislike you :poke:

O snap, didn't realize u were getting tires so fast.
What's the rating on those?
I've never heard anyone say anything but good things about the pilots.
They are also very popular in the sport bike world

Dude, I would have purchased em there on Friday if anyone had any in stock.  They are Y rating with 300 treadwear.

I am at 320 miles on the new tires since yesterday and probably not going to chance an autocross with them so soon.  We will see.

So far, they are VERY impressive.  Even two of the tires balanced to a true 0

OK, non-Kappa, but...  spent the afternoon toiling round a scrap yard.  For my younger daughter's junker Chrysler Cirrus, I got a radio, rear cupholder piece and sunvisor clip.  All now installed and working (the old radio was intermittent).  I am now a hero -- at least for the rest of the day.  :usa:

Also looked for a replacement radio surround for other daughter's '98 Civic that was broken into at college and had the radio stolen and the surround smashed.  Found 8-10 Civics of appropriate body style, but every one had the radio and surround missing.  Guess it's a high value/wanted piece(s).  Sigh.  :banghead:

Explains the break-in, I guess. Double sigh.

I'm back.   If you go to Utube, do a search of DDMworks, look for StageIII flyby.  That is my car with tri-y header, high flow, and sqr2 sole exhaust.  Once you get past the whine you can hear the pipes at WOT

Nice 200 mile country ride, on my motorcycle, while I gave the Kappa a rest for the weekend. 9K miles in 6 months, and going strong.

hmmmmm.... I think I'll pass on the headers, I'm just not at all 'accustomed' to the sound of a 4-cylinder opened up like that.....  :(

thank you for the search keywords though!

Admittedly though, if my Kappa were actually 'fast,' (12 second or lower QMT) I wouldn't give a sh*t what kind of sound it made!!!! LMAO

I gotta re-figure out the tire thing now.
I can't hook up in first gear anymore.

I tried doing some 1/4 mile times and I was spinning like crazy even with the Star Specs.
I guess the next set of tires will have to be wider and stickier

I have been behind Critter before at a stoplight or a few and heard his exhaust at 25%-50% throttle and it sounds GREAT!!! Nice thump with a little burble when he comes off the gas. Like the porrige (sp) in the three little bears, "just right".
