I've seen as high as 215/217 but usually is in the 203/205 range.  Does this sound about right?  I never shut her down until the temp is under 205 and don't drive until at least 100.

If you are running 203-205 it is no big deal but I bet you have air in your system. I used to run about there, then I did the elevated evaporator air bleed thing on my car and it dropped to in the 190's most of the time, these cars can be a pain to get all the air out of the system. I think it was DeepblueGXP that posted the correct procedure for bleeding the system.

OK, just took a good look at the trunk lid (in the sunlight)which I Swirl-Xed a few days ago and it is stll covered in spider scratches.   :cryin:  Beginning to think I don't have the "touch" for this kind of thing.  Would love to get them suckers out myself but am beginning to think I may have to let a pro do it.  On the brighter side I did order some new Hankooks!  :D

Remember, this is the thread for what did you do to your Kappa today.
Installed a NC momentary switch from radio shack for the DDM Works hood light.   Now the light comes on when the hood is opened.

about 8-9 years ago, I went through back to back Wednesday N'oreasters in Chesapeake, Va. That was NOT fun. I sure know YOU aren't enjoying it. At least you aren't TOO near the ocean front. So, did the car or the house leak?

Neither, thankfully. (Though it's not over yet...)

Oh, and the puny little back up light on our cars is utterly useless.

I wanna pull the clearbra off my hood. It looks like @$$

I also aired my leaky rear passenger tire, had it patched and it's still leaking slow.

Few days ago I painted my grille, full thread here:

I think Bryan got you beat he put a mercury switch on his so it turns on when you lift the hood, kind of cool. What I did today was get a call I can pick up my car, in about an hour. It has a new thermostat, they "think" that was causing the overheating.

All I could do to mine today (and the two previous days) was watch the rain from TS Ida roll off it's cover. No fun there...however I did find time to browse the vender sites and ponder my next move. Does that count?

Oh, and I also spent time mopping the water out of the basement...but then this thread is about "what we did to our Kappas today..."

What I did was make an appointment to have my overheating checked. Just driving to the dealer the temp spiked to 257f (125c), stayed there for a few miles, then rapidly tanked to about 230, then settled down about 220.
Hopefully it's as easy as a new thermostat.

That's pretty much what mine did, it was the thermostat, $345 if it had not been under warranty. All better now, and I tested it thoroughly Sunday.

Today I just drove it to work, yesterday drove it like I stole it through the twisty roads of West by God Virginia top down grinning.

Over the weekend...

- New gauge faces (with 'Solstice' trunk open icon)
- Rudeboy sound deadening material around shifter on tunnel (beneath shift boot)
- Mounted & wired switches for my seat heaters above radio (just below/between the heater-a/c dials)
- Installed fuel injector pump sound-deadening cover.

(By the way, did you know you can actually get about 1/2 a mile down the road before realizing that you forgot to re-connect the electrical connections to the fuel injector pump?  Don't ask me how I know!)

Once can guess that is how far you can go on the fuel that is in the rail.

I managed to stop the leaking in my trunk. The stoplight nipple wasn't sealed, some silicone fix it.

Kelu you worded it right, he's just trying to twist what you said to mean something else.

Personally I am not that into silicone nipples but beggars can't be choosers.

Not too sure I can pronounce Transfagarasan in English let alone Romanian  :idk:
