Ants often invade looking for water.  Have been running the AC alot, especially on recycle?  Could be a condensation issue...

Picked up my car with the GMPP tune today.  Not much time to drive it yet but whooopeeee!!!  It clearly adds torque more than high end power but what torque!

Not yet - have not been able to get to an open enough road to play that hard.  Gives me something to look forward to!

Got the chance today!  The hard thing is the no-lift:  my right foot is not used to that idea.  But I think I did it right after a few tries.  Did not hear the pop that folks have mentioned (but of course the top is up and windows closed) but got a nice chirp and beautiful continuous flow of power.  But it happens so fast that I am not positive I did it right - there is so much extra new torque.  Oh, such wonderful things!!!

Today I was actually able to put the top down when I ran out for a sandwich around 10 am. Then later DBG cleared my CEL for me. Still troubleshooting that...

I agree, Treeman.  It's hard to train your foot not to lift, even when you try not to, muscle memory takes over.  I get the pops every time, but that probably has as much to do with my exhaust as with the tune.

I put my snow tires on this evening.  We'll see how they drift... er... drive compared to the stockers soon.  I'll post up my impressions if / when we get some snow.

We'll see if there's any accumulation...  I think if we're getting any, I might get more out my way than further east.  That's why I ponied up for snows in the first place.  Bring it on!

I got smoked (literally) by a Ford Lightning!  Pulled up along side of 'em and kept giving him the eye until couldn't take it any more and floored it.  Left me in a cloud of smoke and a big smile on my face (on account I wasn't racing).  He must have burned a half quart of oil on his way to "victory".  Must have a lot of miles on that truck.     On the other hand the supercharger sounded cool.

The Ford Lightning is a beast.  It's a real nice truck.  I love that, the SSR, and the Cherokee SRT-8.  All have great motors in them, and are total sleepers.

I agree, though of the three, I'd rather have the Lightning. Same motor as the terminator cobras, or so I'm told.

Also, my friends tell me that a stock lightning vs. a stock kappa would make for a very close race.

I did som quick research after I got home and the best 0 - 60 time I could find for the Lightning was 5.8 to 6.0.  He pulled away at a good clip but I know I could have run him down, especially with the GMPP upgrade.  Not to mention with the amount of smoke he was leaving I imagine his engine has some pretty good wear on it.

You sure that wasn't tire smoke? I haven't seen too many lightnings that haven't been taken care of, but if you're sure it was oil I'll believe you.

What is it with trucks wanting to race us?  There is a dodge ram around my work that always wants to play, I just laugh and p!$$ him off.

When he romped on it we were doing about 35 mph.  He never came close to breaking traction and the smoke was definately coming from the tail pipes.  I did find a Car & Driver test showing a 0 - 60 of 5.2 seconds so they can be fairly quick.

Funny thing is far more trucks try to get me to race than cars.  What's up with that?

Well Kelu is should really be "Racers who don't",  But he wasn't laughing at your English, but at the statement.  Which was funny.

Critterman is exactly right!  Then mental picture of the statement made me laugh.  Sometimes it is really hard to get your point across on the internet being that it is so one dimensional, what with context and all...
