The first time I went drag racing I lined up against a diesel dodge ram. Good thing I ran faster than he did, because if I hadn't I wouldn't have been able to see a thing!

On the street, it's mostly scions that mess with me. Yesterday I had one of the lunchbox models trying to play on the interstate...

It's 33F here right now, and the rain has changed to snow. Time to find an empty parking lot and go play. Hmmmm...wonder if I can get GXPsy to race me? Naw....she'd never take her car out in this mush. Maybe she'd rather stay in and play......

Huh, I don't think it made it above freezing today, so I moved fast to stay warm.

The diff clunking has gotten loud since the temperature has dropped. Checked the bolts on the shaft to diff and diff mounting bolts and everything was snug. Noticed some engine oil hanging from the front frame. Had oil leaking from one of the turbo return lines. I untightened it and it broke loose with a snap but it took anothe half turn tightening it. Hit all the other oils lines and then started on IC connections, both rubber and synthetic. They all had a little slack with the sub 30F temps.

Noticed the hood was making noise over bumps after I made adjustments during summer and figured the rubber bump stops shrunk. Then I found both front stops loose and passenger side catch bolts were half out! Got to love buying used.  :)

Hauling snow tires home, two in the trunk and two in passenger's seat.

What did I do to my Kappa today? Said hello to it when I walked through the garage looking for some implements of destruction as I am pulling up the floors in the kitchen and hall to put down tile. Gonna make it just a WEEE bit easier to deal with the crap I catch when I order some stuff from SP, CCW, and Kirkey !!!! As sore as my knees and back are, it might have been easier to deal with the crap, but I hated the floors, too.

Just came up from working downstairs. I got a set of Rudy's recessed grills a while ago and as the car is put away I haven't been in any hurry to get them cleaned up and ready for paint. Taking the flash off the inserts is a bit of a job to do by hand. I've been pickin' and scratchin' without making any music.

I should have went to the hardware store for a little sanding drum or grinding wheel for the die grinder. A little more to do but my hands are sore. Lot's of time for them to rest up before the spring. In a few days I'll go at it again.

I think I will paint the inserts with Krylon plastic paint. As I'm not sure where I would buy the Deep to paint the outside trim ring I guess I'll have to take them to a body shop to get that done. I'm hoping after that, I can get the Ventureshield on the trim ring.

We'll see.
Just trying to do my part...

Today, I drove up to 2K's (Scott) house and replaced the LED's in my dash.  Well he replaced them but I watched.

Washed the road salt off after this past week.  Neoprene gloves work good in thirty degree temps.  :)

Took her out for the first time in a week.  Last time I drove the Sol, it was raining and I haven't had time to clean her.  The misses first comment when she saw how dirty the car was "what the heck did you do to my car?"  Gotta love a woman who appreciates a clean car.  Guess I know what I will be doing Christmas morning while she is at work!
(She works at the Zoo, the Animals need to be fed everyday, so she will be at work)

Cutoff doesn't get much sharper than that, Shabby   Now it's time to pretty up the capsules.  Definitely post pics when you're done with those as well!

Retrofit is basically done, i'm still waiting for a new set of halos since the thin ones don't power up properly. I also decided to paint the chrome housing black, might as well do it now when everything is open.

Does the original reflector/basket need to stay chrome?

No, since it won't be used to reflect light anymore due to the projectors you can paint it.
Damnit... now you got me pondering whether i should paint them :)

Washed the salt & road grime off, made tuning tweaks to my amp, took pictures of the amp & sub installation (great alternative for coupe owners with base, non premium sound systems-will post them in another thread later), reassembled the interior trim work & took a ride down to the local brewery for a refreshing golden beverage.   :D

Nothing.  Too :censor: cold!

Waiting on installing Parrot CK3000 bluetooth plug&play setup and putting on headlamp eyelids (though got to get them painted first, actually).  Also some other minor stuff.  When will it warm up a bit?  Heating bills (Propane) is KILLING me.

Soup,
Have you used the Parrot in other vehilcles before?  I am considering that for my Silverado.  Parrot seems to get the best reviews from what I see.  Curious how you like yours when you get it hooked up and if / how it works with the top down.
