Is now without a cat along with Kappasphere the boost build noticeable quicker. Getting rid of hi-flow cat only increased volume level slightly as the KS1 middle does a good job of ridding drone/resonance. I was considering replaceing the muffler with straight pipe for weight savings but when you add up tubing, clamps, and hangers the muffler was only slightly more weight with allot less noise.  Also replaced replaced a stripped hose clamp on a very important oil line that goes through drain plug access hole.  :)

Rain hasn't stopped so decided to buy LED for Fender Blinker MOD and for the map lights. Working on getting all the Footwell Lighting MOD parts together. Boy, the mods are piling up, Now all I need is for all my parts to show up so I can get to work.

Later this week is expected to be in the mid fifties and low sixties to get the car out and detail it, install mods, and hopefully get my "Stripes" package for install.

Should the car be with or without wax for decal installs???

I believe without wax, you could wash it with dishwashing soap which removes all the wax.  But then you need to start from scratch again building it back up.

Use a lot of soapy water both on the body and the decal placing it in place and then you squeege to get the water and air out from under it.

Just as a (slightly) dissenting view I've seen it recommended to wax first - at least before clear-bra.  It helps protect the paint during install and also makes it easier to remove if you should need to.

Of course if you want best possible adhesion and will never want to remove, then probably without wax is best.  But remember, vinyl does not last forever, especially if out in the sun a lot.  In 5-10 years, if you keep your car, you may want to replace the decals :)

That's why I'm driving my truck, I'm looking at a good 9" before I have to worry about bottoming out.

Did my free oil change this weekend before the parade. I have 3 more to use before the end of the year. This is claimed as warranty work even though it's been out of warranty for 20,000 miles. :D

Today I got my quad LEDs to relocate my mirror map lights to the windshield surround.  Test fitted them tonight - not completely happy with them yet.  I ordered the last Gentex 50-26A in stock on the planet and am waiting for it to come in - it has Onstar, compass, auto dimming, temp, but no map lights.

Replaced the trunk bulb with an LED bulb.

Worked some more on my car computer and researched wheels and tires with Goat today.  My stock rubber is at 46k miles and I really want 19" rims.  Looking at 19x8.5 Bright Sil w/Polished 1" Lip O.Z. Superleggera III 245/40ZR19 front, 19x9 Bright Sil w/Polished 1.5" Lip O.Z. Superleggera III
275/35ZR19 rear on Continental ExtremeContact DWS tires.

Got my 7" DMO touchscreen calibrated and researched finding a replacement piano black piece for the Sky center console for when I hose the first one cutting it up for my screen install...

I will be adding a TPMS system to the wheels and tying it to my car PC using a custom built USB based TPMS computer - more to follow on this...  Geekworks...

Here is the TPMS app I am working with in Centrafuse (envision the code to convert metric to imperial...):

As soon as I make sufficient progress, I will start a thread on this.

I wrapped my down tube off the turbo. If you don't have a shield wrapping the exhaust aid rod the turbo helps increase spool up response. Since my Hahn Turbo does not have electronic waste gate like the RL/GXP so it helps quite noticeably. And when I washed it today I popped the hood and spray down the engine with some simple Green. Since it's a daily driver this winter there was quite a bit of salt and dirt.

Washed and waxed mine today. Need to get under the hood with a damp rag and a vacuum cleaner still, and the interior is still a mess, but the car is looking happier.

Washed and clay barred Lindsey (including the top with 303 Protectant Cleaner) in prep for removing swirls and  redoing the water sealant on the roof.  The water soaks right into my top so I know it needed to be re-protectant to the roof again.

This will be a long week of detailing and polishing and sealing, etc.My rally stripe decals should be here in a few weeks so, I just need to keep her clean and safe until I can get them installed.

Six more mods this month to complete and I will be all set to go for April. Then two more at the Meet.

My personal thanks to all of you "pros" out there helping an electrician do mechanical work.

Yesterday, what can I say...

Go-N-Def, your system for polishing and waxing it GREAT. I re-washed, clay barred, polished, polished again, glazed, show shined, and sealed Lindsey...

She looks like liquid white paint.

I have gotten nothing but compliments since I got her done. Now if only I can get the feeling back in my right arm after hand doing all that work.

Today will be footwell lighting install, wheels & rims, leather care, trim protectant, final engine cleaning, with one more coat of sealant. I love the 65 degree weather. I could do this all the time.

The cleaning bug has definitely bitten me. OCD cleaning actually!!! LOL

Installed my new DDM Backbone & did the preliminary work (center hole drilled & right & left sides marked for holes) for the Probeam install which I will finish tomorrow - I wanted to see the difference with the Backbone first & then with the probeam. My 140 mi. round trip commute should do as I have about a 20 mi. stretch each way of country backroads which includes a few twisties & rough roads.

Much thanks to the folks at DDM for getting them to me so quick, I ordered on-line Sunday, it was shipped Monday & arrived Wednesday. Outstanding!
