I had a crazy busy weekend, both good and bad. Starting with the good.

Got updated Wester's tunes that don't go into limp mode.
Installed shift light.
Bled brakes.
Changed oil.
Got to use my shiny new Precision torque wrench that SOB recommended.

Now the bad news.
Lindsay's (my fiancée) grandfather passed away this weekend. He died in peace in his sleep at his home.

I was meant to do my first track event this week but I won't be able to go now which is too bad because of the rush I was in to get the car prepped. But it's ok. There is another one soon.

Started tuning the gmpp tune over the weekend, make some nice gains. Check out these logs, stock gmpp on top and tuned gmpp on bottom. At 6000rpm its flowing 9 more lbs/min of air, and boost and load is pegged in the mid range :drag:

Post some pics of that shift light kenny, sorry to hear about your fiancees grandfather.

Didnt do it yesterday...but did it over the course of the last week...Installed my JPM Coachworks center console (black leather with red stitching, and the GXP flag symbol embroidered at the back of it ), Installed my Polk Audio MM-651's in the doors, and Polk Audio db-351's behind the seats...the clarity and filling out of the sound spectrum is much better. (Still considering upgrading the subwoofer speaker, and maybe adding a good but small amp to increase quality of music heard...Im old school...go for clarity and balance of sound throughout the spectrum at low volume, so it sounds even better at higher volume...its not all about just the THUMP)  Next on my list is installing the Factory Head unit with the USB port, that I purchased from Intcomponents, installing a VCIM (like G8TR just did) so I can add bluetooth to my Kappa, and hopefully install my long awaited Lighted Door Sills from Windrestrictor, once the get here.

Yes, shabby, you must share... we both have Wester's and you are flowing 5 or 6 more lbs/min than us. Did you get the GMPP from GM or just buy the sensors and get it from the repository.  I think a separate thread would be great for this :)

In case you have the Sky USB radio from ICS (and haven't seen this thread) I swapped my old Solstice radio faceplate onto the Sky radio, routing the USB out the back: Migrated my (old) Solstice Radio faceplate to my (new) Sky USB radio!

I also have added a Parrot Bluetooth if you're interested: Plug'n'Play Bluetooth - Parrot CK3000 kit

Where is Moby, is he still mad that we increased the octane of his fuel too much?

I'm back!  It was hockey tournament week for me, so I was either playing, drinking, or too tired and drunk to surf :)

Just as a thought here, and this could possibly be the last one I have for the week......  :worms:  .....I don't like this thread.  For me now it's up to 33 pages and people have done some fantastic mods/changes work on their cars, or have some very useful information being shared here, but it's just a giant stream of conscious sort of thread.  If you ever want to go back and find out how Elf with the superfluous f changed the rear of his sky, or how CT's striping project went, you will have to read 40 some pages of junk to find out.  I think this thread is actually a detriment to the well being of the forum.  We should have had about 30 new threads showing the work/information that's been discussed in this behemoth, and it's now so large, I hardly read this one anymore.

So there you go, my unsolicited thoughts on why we should stop posting all that great information in this thread.  Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go tint my tails, or buff my shifter, or whatever the kids are calling it these days. ;)

Yup stock turbo and ya im speechless too, but that wasn't even the highest airflow reading, this was...

There's really no secret, the key is the gmpp tune. I found a 2007 gmpp tune on the repository and bought the sensors and installed them myself, tuning was the easy part. Lyndon can easily mimic these results, the gmpp tune is what allows these insane gains.

If the tuning is the easy part, why does everyone spend so much money on tunes

Not everyone fully understands what goes on inside the engine, or what changing one little parameter in the ecm will do, so they let others do it for them. Tunes really aren't that expensive for the lnf, the hp per $ is pretty high compared to naturally aspirated engines.

Hey, all I know about "ice" hockey is the BRUINS made the playoffs!  They are not likely to go ANYWHERE in the playoffs, but hey, they made it.  Two years.  In two years the Bruins will finally be relevant again.  It is time.  The Patriots had their run, the Sox (yes, the red ones) have had a good run, the Celtics won.... now it's just the Bruins.  I am convinced my Grandmother, bless her 95 year old heart, is holding out for the Bruins.  Her #1 favorite team in sports.

Guys/Gals

Keep posting in this thread but please create your own topic first for mods and then paste a link to it.  That way we can go back and enjoy the ease of the search and find to see what you have done to your Kappa.

JonyMac did it with his Backup mod and shabby did with his tuning mod.

I hope I didnt drive ya to crazy with being such a perfectionist to the lil details...we had a blast visiting with ya!!
TS, I saw the thread and have been considering changing the face plate, at the very least the display cover to keep the read out color matching the DIC...I'll post on here once its done.
