Kelu -

I just had a body shop replace mine and he charged $48.00 for the RF fender well.  I tried to get one from ICS for about 6 weeks but they could never find one.

Good luck with the fixes!

I met a fellow today who is on his second Solstice.  He now has a 08 GXP.  He said that he had never had the top down!  When I popped my trunk he looked in and said "What's that?  I don't have anything like that.".  It was my convertible  top.  I guess it takes all kinds.

That's too funny and yeah it sure does. There's a guy at work that rarely puts his down and one that bought last year that never puts his up. I told the guy that never puts his up that he should drive it once on the highway with the top up to make sure that the top doesn't have any bad wind leaks.

Not forum people though. Why, I haven't a clue.

Went catless this morning.
Hope I don't have any major warranty engine or emissions issues for awhile since I will need to put the stock cat back on before I take it in for warranty.  Im not concerned about other warranty issues since they will not be looking in the engine bay.  Even if they are unless there looking or inspecting the cat they shouldnt notice.

Installed the drawtite trailer hitch. The holes lined up and iit was easy to snake the bolts thru. If anyone who has a Solo muffler does this, you may have to trim the hitch mounting plate around the hangers. I did. and it is a pain. Also had to bend the tailpipe a little. :banghead: :banghead:
The wiring was a pain also. had to splice in on the chassis next to the passenger side rear wheel.

Cleaned the wheels and blackened the tires to prepare for the weekend.  Western Canada Kappa Club is meeting Friday evening in Kamloops, taking part in a show and shine, driving to Vernon via long mountain drive on Saturday, another show and shine on Saturday evening then home on Sunday.  This is the third year getting together like this.  We expect about 12 cars this year - some from Alberta, some from the island and some from the mainland and interior.  Should be fun.  Photos next week.

Drove up to Mt. Charleston to look for a place to take the kids meteor shower watching next Thursday night.  It was about 20 degrees cooler than at the house.  Found a nice spot to set up the telescope too!

Finally got around to painting the airbag sticker on the visors.  My previous vinyl  decals finally wore or fell off.  I used duplicolor textured paint for plastic and it matched the ebony interor perfectly.  Now just have to see how well it holds up.

I can't remember what I used.  It may have been the same stuff you used or a special paint for vinyl but I am pretty sure it was Dupli-color.  Anyway it has been two years now and looks as good as the day I painted it!

I have to ask...

Morfious, why would you use textured paint when the plastic is textured already?   :idk:

I think I used either a for vinyl or plastic type paint.  I just don't remember anymore.  Whatever I used it still looks great!
