http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TtBWLZOab9Q

The instructor was sitting on passenger chair maneuvering the rear wheels to put you in a nasty position. They said 80% of people are doing it wrong, I had no problem with it even if instructor kept me in a chat while I was driving to distract my attention.

Front impact, damn that was wicked even the speeds were very small, the deceleration makes a huge impact, I don't want to know what can happen if not seat belt:

15km/h - 9.32 mph
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5NG1bjLVqW4

22 km/h - 13.67mph - even the speed is only a little bit higher the impact is double
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uino2AJBjEg

How to take out from a flipped car:

90 degrees flipped (sitting on the door)
[attachment=1]

180 degrees flipped (sitting on the roof)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KKI7bXRRGwU

There were some others but I don't have pics/videos like how to position in the chair, how to use the hands on the wheel, braking with and without ABS.
And some theoretical information: accidents statistics, driving preparations. traction, acceleration and braking, inertia, how to control a slide, trajectory, economical driving, safety driving, etc

Kappa got all the attention again, they allowed us to use their track to test various emergency braking for who wanted to use their own cars.  :thumbs:

Critter, new Bluetooth? Was this the Tomato Soup mike cover or something new? And how did it work?

Motorola T325 mounts to the visor.  You will have to Ask GJ what it sounded like on his end.  His call was the first time I have hear the phone ring in 5 years with the top down and the radio on.  I did roll up the windows to talk to him.  Then I hit stop and go traffic.  We talked for 5 or 10 minutes going down the road.

John has a 2006 so there is no Bluetooth. Bluetooth wasn't available until the 2009 model year.

Kagem's posts about his CAI have been split into their own thread as per Kenny's suggestion.

Finally started my new mod - been putting this off for sometime because of fear-of-failure  :o

Here's a teaser shot (shouldn't be too hard to guess what I'm doing)...

[attachment=1]

Scary lookin', ain't it? Stay tuned - but it may take a while to complete.

If you start a new thread with this it'll be easier to find down the road. I've been contemplating doing something like this as well. Don't know whether I want to go with a hybrid set up like you appear to be doing or if I want to go all LED.

If you only do brake lights, then there are no flashing issues to deal with. I had considered getting a 4" hole saw and boring a big enough hole so I could insert something like this and jettison the bulb..

I thought about that too, but went this way instead.  Won't be hybrid... I'll put LEDs in the middle hole area too.  Don't worry, I'll start a new thread when I get far enough to do so.

Oh - one reason I went this way is that the LEDs I'm using have a 120deg 'throw' so they should be very visible from angles off to the side.  Most of the pre-packed LED lamps seem to be narrow beam.

Critter,

If you have a palm-a-granite you might want to use EXTRA lotion...
Or go see a doctor, cause that just ain't right!
