His eye had a patch over it, and yes, as SHiNY said, its my job.

As for me driving vs an ambulance vs a Gov't vehicle goes, the car was the fastest choice on many levels.  We do not have ambulances on this base so we would have had to call the local Korean hospital that is 20 minutes away which roughly means over an hour before he would have gotten to the ER.  A Govvie would have taken just as long or longer since we would have had to find and wake up the guy with the keys to the motorpool.  My car was the logical choice for me.  Anything for life, limb or eyesight.

I'm taking the Marine for a follow up this morning so we'll see how things are...

Besides doc's GXP is an emergency vehicle has stobe lights and everything, well I think he is missing a siren :)

but you can bet your bottom dollar, he made sure the guy wasn't dripping any fluids, and had on a clean set of clothes and shoes.

What the hell was he doing playing with bottle rockets in the first place.

This one is an auto, I couldn't even get the the guy to use his Tech II to check the software version on the ECM.  Sometimes I think it could have just been a set of bad dyno pulls. Maybe they left it in (D) rather then (4) ... If you look at the torque graph it's not flat, most graphs I've seen have been ...

From what I've been able to catch 19psi, I get a lot of low traction flashing up on the screen. I'm really starting to lean towards a set of bad pulls. The car feels really strong by my butt dyno.

Removed the stock engine cover and heat blanket:

Installed my VERY CUSTOM painted DDMWorks Coil Cover (Formerly belonged to Amelia, Helios)

As soon as my PS relocation kit comes in, there may be another addition to the engine bay, also compliments of "Amelia."

Completed the 12 step GO-N-DEF detailing program yesterday... Sore today but at least my SPRING CLEANING is done! Pics to follow... Oh yeah, also drove the B&B on Saturday and got to meet a lot of great people. I think I need white walls for Lindsey, they look great on a white car.

Not today, but...

Friday, did the budget tune.  Then washed her twice.  Then clayed, then washed her again, then polished and finally waxed.

Then Saturday, lifted her and installed the backbone brace (race) and the probeam.

Then Saturday night, I took her out and tested my handy work.  :)

Who are you going to get your PCV valve from?

Great question! I actually meant the PCV Check Valve.... anyone know the part number? I search for a few hours on OCC's, PCV, and blue smoke, and now my head hurts trying to understand this PCV system.

Oh today I was troubleshooting a P2187 code I received twice now while idling for a long period of time in stop and go traffic. I don't think it's a evap/fuel issue as it concurred with a full tank and half full tank and I don't get any long crank conditions.
In my investigation I noticed there is an exhaust leak (carbon buildup) where my s20g turbo attachs to the exhaust manifold, not the first bracket but one on the exhaust housing side on the turbo. Also the bracket holding the exhaust and compressor sides together showed some carbon build up under it's clamp.

I tightened everything up and just hope that connection doesn't require a gasket (as it's probably blown away by now)... I've emailed Hahn asking them.

I also replaced my plugs as well, with 41-108 gapped at .24. In the process of looking at the turbo, I noticed some more oil, looks like from the check value, as well as the turbo line seemed filmy. Can someone talk me into/out of getting a dual catch can?

Tomorrow I'll drive it for a while and hope the exhaust leak is fixed, and probably pull the pcv check value line and do the one direction test of air flow (but I can't imagine where the oil came from in the intake pipe besides that).

All in all some quality time spent with her.

Dr. Gronk, autowerks has the check valve
http://www.performanceautowerks.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=165_370&products_id=1840

i would suggest you to buy the DDM OCC. this way you will protect the intake from oil and you will be informed on the amount of oil that the engine spits out.  if any time you notice more accumulation of oil, ceteris parribus, you will know that something is not working probably.

Thanks for the link, it had the part number. I bet that check value is a common type if we could figure out the part number for it.  Offhand does anyone know if the lines are 1/4", 5/16", 3/8"? I found some disconnect tools at a local place but didn't want to buy them all (I'm guessing 3/8 though).

So with the DDM OCC was there a consensus if it's getting hooked up to the breather between valve cover and turbo, or between intake check value) and valve cover, or both? I think I read all those types of configuration across the SF and KP forums.

DDM recommends in their instructions that we hook one end to the centre connection on the valve cover and other connection is made to the air intake connection.

That's good enough for me.

And... Ya' can't leave us hangin' like that!

Sorry....
I posted this elsewhere (nuther forum).
She drives like a beauty.  She's fast, and she's nimble.
My fav part though...

I was sitting at a red light.  Next to me was a Pontiac GTO.  Glanced over at him and he glanced back.
Light turned green and he started spinning his tires and peeled out.  I could tell because I looked in my rear view mirror and saw him.  My car is mostly debadged, so he probably had no idea what kind of car embarrassed him Saturday night.

:)

Handling is also excellent.  I found a couple of curves to test her out.  One curve I didn't take as cleanly as I could have, but it was driver fault, not car fault.  No issues - just I didn't feel like taking one 90 degree turn quite so tight at 60 miles an hour.  Maybe after I get used to the improved handling I might, other than taking that turn kinda wide, the car did everything I asked her to do and more.

I'm going to Austin in June (Hope to see lots of you folks there).  I'll be getting there wednesday morning and my first stop will will at Harris Hill.  Very excited - can't wait!
