 :( Went to drive Bix to work this morning, she has been sitting since the Sandy Point trip.  Not enough juice to even unlock the doors.   :gaah: First time in three years this has happened.  Will have to charge her back up and take her out tonight.  Does anyone know if we have a wet cell battery that requires a periodic check of the fluid level?  From what I can see under the lambo hinges and power steering resevoir it looks like it has filler caps.  :nuts:

John, you might also want to pick up one of those things that hook up to the cigarette lighter with a 9 volt battery, then when you (if you) need to replace the battery, it saves all your settings.

I am looking for one myself as last time the dealer disconnected mine, it took a long time to reset everything the way I liked it.

3 years, the battery could be due for replacing.  I haven't check the top of the battery.

Wow, better check mine then. Sorry to hear this Critter. Don't you have to take off the fender to change the battery in these?  :gaah:

Taking the fender off is not as hard as you think.  Joe has had mine and his off a bunch of times.  It is just 8 or 9 bolts with one hard to get to.  (have to open the door half way)  unless you have lambo doors.

Oh. Well, for those of us that don't take off our fenders on a regular basis, it's a challenge.  :D

She started right up after an hour on the charger, the only thing I lost was the time on the radio, everything else was still there including the radio settings.

Time to start looking for a gel cell

  My car will be 3 years old in June when I make that trip to Denver from Alabama.  I was having thoughts of getting a new battery before the trip.  It's easier (and cheaper) to do things like that at home rather than on the road.

If you don't want to mess with the fender you can pull the wheel, remove the back half of the fender well bolts, the bottom of the fender support arm (so it swings out of the way) and pull it out through there.  Takes about the same amount of time and the fender re-alignment is almost nothing.  My battery died from the climate change during the move east and would not hold a charge after.  That is how I did mine just to see how it went.  both are fairly effortless. Just an alterative option.  I hate that bold in the doorway.  I'm always afraid I am going to slip and chip the paint.
