Vette and Camaro guys go to a 3.73 or 4.10 rear, stock vette is 3.42 LS3 camaro 3.45 G8 GXP 3.70, so just putting their 6 speed with our rear would work really well.

Once you have Vette power. you should have vette gear ratios, F the granny gear.

So we go back to gearbox? 3rd and 4th are the pain, 1st and 2nd a nice and strong for what I have now, if they will last, no RWD (except a Porsche Cayman) up to 400hp launched better than me even I ran on oem tires. Some of the list which I launched better:
- 12s Silvias
- mid 13s S2000
- low 13s BMW M3
- Mid 13s 306hp Merc SLK automatic
- BMW 335i automatic
- 400hp Turbo BMW

Back to topic, in my on going researches I found a pretty nice description of different turbos from Mitsu forums:

Quote
Stock Evo9 ................. 41 (44?) lb./min.
BBK Lite ............... 47 lb./min.
FP Green (Gen 1).. 47 (49?) lb./min.
Tomei ARMS ......... 48 lb./min.
BBK Full ................ 51 lb./min.
GT3076R .............. 53 lb/min
FP 73HTA Green ... 54 lb./min.
FP HTA 3076 ........ 57 lb./min.
FP Red ................. 57 lb./min.
GT35R ................. 65 lb./min.
FP 82HTA Black ... 68 lb./min.
GT37R ................. 75 lb./min.
Our k04 flowing 33-35 lb/min?
Any real data from an upgraded wheel k04?
I would add turbos used by LNF Tuners:
FP 68HTA ... 47 lb/min
BorgWarner S252 (not sure if is ET) .... 46 lb/min
BorgWarner S256 (not sure if is ET) .... 56 lb/min

We know that Shabby has posted 39 lbs/mn on a stock K04 with his modified HPT tables.
The DDM boys should be able to tell us how much the Upgraded Larger Wheel in the K04 flows.
I am making an assumption that could flow close to 44 - 45 lbs/mn with Shabby's modified HPT tables.

Shabby doesn't make 39. He had to calibrate his maf which skews the readings. Saw this in HPT forums.

Graywolf stated something in a recent post of his. that he shifts gear in 1st and 2nd gear at 7200 rpm and less rpm in 3rd, 4th and 5th gear. i suppose this is necessary for autocross and auto-x. in some corners, having the rev limiter moved to higher rpms solves the problem that 2nd hits the 6300 rev limiter and that with 3rd gear you don t take advantage of the car's power to clear the turn fast enough (plus understeer).
maybe this could be a solution in drag racing too.
keep 1st and 2nd until 7000-7200 rpm and then 3rd-4th gear until 6500rpm.
this will make you get in 3rd gear with higher revs, thus in better boost condition. 1st and 2nd gear have power up there since these are shorter and turbo is not working so much to show signs of fatigue.

My rev limiter is raised to 7200rpm by Lyndon.
I generally shift:
2nd around 7000-7500rpm
3rd around 6500-7200rpm
4th around 6000-6500rpm

Changed my tires from:
245/45/18 factory Bridgestone Potenza RE050A Pole Position
to:
245/40/18 Michelin Pilot Sport PS2

Even the rubber is better now, the launches are not improved because of smaller height of the tire by 12mm  :barf2:

Because of smaller height of the tire I do feel I accelerate better on the end of the 1/4.

I compared my car now with a Nissan 370Z bone stock (V6 -3.7L - 332 hp - rev matching automatic gearbox) and the cars are almost identical, it's all about how we launch. He has more horses and better gearbox but it looses the advantages because of weight (1564 kg - 3448 lb). That car launches very strong, have a very nice interior and I can't believe the price starts from $30 grand in US  around here the starting price including taxes is around $60 grand (45 000E)  :goat:

Here, 370Z starts from 70K euros (around $95K)  :banghead:  :censor:
i believe that compared to 370Z, starting form rolling 2nd or 3rd gear, you will certainly have the advantage.

As for the rev limiter, i didn't know at what rpms you were shifting, so when i read Graywolf's post, i thought u should try, but it seems that's what u already do.

good luck with your races buddy!!

It looks to me that Kelu's times will not get much better until he can hit a drag strip like in the USA.

It will!!! A friend of mine, who got involved in organizing drag racing events around here, promised we gonna have a strip prepd with VHT for next year.

Also my times will go lower with nitrous no matter what, I didn't had the chance to fully test it spraying.
Also I hope I will find a solution to upgrade turbo on my requirements this winter.

I hope I will be able to bust LV's statement ;)

Friend, I truly hope you will, since the car as you know is capable of the high 12's.
I believe you said you tried Drag radials and they did not help you much, or am I dreaming about the use of Drag Radials in your GT?.

I never used drag radials, I tried medium-hard asphalt rally slicks, Michelin N21, they were old and used and way too small for me 205/50/16, my 60ft on that day was constant 2.2s (2.1s record) with them comparing with constant 2.1s (2.0s record) with factory wheels/tires. Trial and error  :barf2:

Is there any way you can get to barrow a couple of 18" Drag Radials for trial and error test?.

No, I didn't saw anyone having DRs on 18", around here the prices are $300-$500 for one tire for our dimensions and besides that dunno if anyone will burrow them to be burned in one race which can mean 20-50% wear.

Kelu and Arabus, Would drop 3rd rpm shift to 6,300-6,400 rpm over concerns of streching timing chain, chain skipping ,breaking. Currently in process of replacing my chain and actunator sprochet because of the chain streching and causing damage to sprochet. 7.200rpm 1st and 2nd is great.

Hey, a friend of mine with a tuned GT- stock turbo and some bolt ons, participated in an event at Serres circuit (one of the 2 circuits in Greece).
he told me his time at 1/4 mile was 12.6
does this sound too good to be true?

Yes, too good to be true even I know Serres has a very sticky surface and even if he used some big ass drag slicks which I don't think he did, the best results are:
- 13.5s on GMPP
- 13.7s or 13.9s with stock tune
- 12.8s on a good prep track with some Nittos and Trifecta tune

Ditto, I hope 12.5s with my upgraded turbo, of course will depend a lot on the surface.
