dont have a clean shot since the car is at the shop.

but you can see some decent shots here: http://www.kappaperformance.com/forum/index.php/topic,5042.60.html

I definitely to roll out the fenders so the wheels/tires don't stick out.

HUGE Thanks to DAVE of WERKS www.performanceautowerks.com for helping me out with a big-A SS intercooler that will be more than enough for my 700hp build.

WERKS is one of the vendors who has been supporting LIPSTICK for this build, and besides this werks race ic........ALSO there's one more product which will be the first among LNF kappas that Dave is building for me (will be done in less than 2 months and will be announced)

anyways, this is the:

The Werks RACE INTERCOOLER

biggest intercooler for kappas - 15"x3"x24"

1100hp capacity!!! 100% made in the USA!
Pressure tested up to 65psi!
3" inlet and outlet
Ultra efficient bar and plate style core

it is more than twice the volume of the stock ic

Damn dude, that is... massive.

Gregory · « **Reply #154 on:** May 27, 2011, 05:52:01 PM »

Can't believe you can fit this in a kappa !!!

Can't believe you can fit this in a kappa !!!

fitting this ic in a kappa is no issue. This bolts right up......but you have to remove the crash bar. We will try to customize a new crash bar.

fitting the compound manifold inside our small engine bay.....is the hard part. We will need to relocate a lot of parts

Can't wait to see the install photos.

Thats a huge

!!!!

I would like to thank DAVE of WERKS for supporting my 700hp compound turbo build, by fabricating the FIRST LNF Kappa RACE custom manifold!

Thank you WERKS!!!

This is what the manifold will look like (this is for the 2.4 Kappa):

Looks pretty awesome!

thanks kenny.......pretty, indeed.

Damn, looking at this I'm nostalgic about my initial plans about 2011 to build a direct port nitrous system. This intake mani would be fantastic for those plans

Kelu, you should go for it.

EFR + Garrett manifold + Nitrous + Werks direct port intake mani = HAPPINESS at drag racing events!

Kelu · « **Reply #163 on:** June 01, 2011, 04:29:50 PM »

I think EFR + nitrous is a waste especially on a stock engine.

joshmass · « **Reply #164 on:** June 01, 2011, 04:32:29 PM »

Upgrade those internals already!

I totally agree Kelu

Kelu · « **Reply #166 on:** June 01, 2011, 04:57:04 PM »

Even I agree you guys, my bank account doesn't agree at all, I have to obey

Even with upgraded engine I think is a waste, why to spend over $2000 for a nitrous system when you can change the turbo to a bigger EFR? Double forced induction don't think is worth the trouble when is about drag racing. Nitrous over stock turbo is ok, but having an aftermarket turbo doens't require nitrous anymore these days when turbos spool insanely fast.

Kelu, you could always get the new launch control from trifecta. I would think this would be a godsend for a drag racer (assuming your clutch can take the abuse)

From what was described, it was going to be something like the 2 step launch control from an AEM EMS. Imagine launching a kappa like this:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=efAOLl-MIWA

fast forward to 3:40 to see the last pull w. launch control

Miller thanks for the suggestion but I have something already for this stuff, WOT Box installed about 1 year ago:

I hope you know to read HPT logs by now

miller11386 · « **Reply #169 on:** June 01, 2011, 06:46:04 PM »

Thats cool! Yes, I can stumble my way though hpt logs

Where did you get the product? and how does it work? Because I am a big fan of the launch control idea...however I will need a clutch that can take the abuse first... stock wont like the slam & burn.

So you have your launch control set at 2850 RPMS? have you found that to be your best launch RPM? (I will be hitting the track soon:))

Miller stop drifting on this topic, this is SKY888's built, let's switch:

just finished talking to both Norm of http://normsfiberglass.com/ and Jeff of http://solo-performance.com/homepage.php

I would like to thank Norm for the sponsorship of a customized version of viper-style hood and fenders for my sky to fit my 10" wheels. As well as the front splitter.

I would like to thank Jeff for the sponsorship and building me a one-off full dual 3" race exhaust.

Pictures soon to follow......
