True Joe, but the Brace once install is less than 2" from the tower edge.
It is also less than 2" from the upper A arm connecting point.

You missing the key point in the rule - 2" from the suspension LOWER suspension pickup point. So, while the DDM piece attaches to the TOP of the spring/shock pickup point, any other attachment must be 2" from the control arm pivot area. This is why the ProBeam and ReBar are legal at the rear end.

This is what Joe and I are trying to convey, I do not know what else to show.
Look at the picture in the bare chassis, once is in the car is very hard to see.
The very 1st pictures I posted on my announcement thread shows the brace.
However with all the other stuff is hard to see it all at once.
This is the reason I posted the bare chassis and showed the location of where it bolts down.
Found a picture and the picture that Kenny posted to show that the LV and Werks brace do comply with the SCCA rule.
Look where the upper A arm bushing is located and then look at the location where the LV Kappa Front Chassis Brace connects.

For those with a 2.4L car please do the following.
Go get a PVC pipe 1" by 28" long. Go to the driver side and slide it towards the passenger side.
Place it about 1/2 foward(front of car) of the bolt that is on the chassis. The bolt is about 2" from the welded shock frame on both sides.
Now check and see that the pipe is not rubbing on any thing.
If the above is true then my LV Kappa Front Chassis Brace should fit the 2.4L.
Since for this test the pipe will sit on top of the chassis rail is possible that it could rub against a part.
If this happens see if it were 3/8 of an inch lower, would it then clear the part that is rubbing against.

Thanks

OK, I did this this afternoon with a 5/8" pipe instead of a 1" pipe, and there wasn't anything even remotely close to the pipe where you wanted it to go.  However, there was interference from the intake resonator on the driver's side and a whole heck of a lot of wiring harness in the way of the mounting on the passenger side.

Well that all, just scrap the intake resonator & move the wires, problem solved. :poke:

Ok, here's some ideas to help solve those problems. Is there enough wire slack, that if you had brackets fab. You could run wires over the mounting area of the brace?

Intake resonator, IMO is to remove it. If that's not a option. You could cut out the part of the intake resonator that  interferes with the brace. Then use a peace of plastic pipe cut in half & glue. To seal the
intake resonator back up.

If they are the same wires as on the LNF they just move to the top, or side of the pipe.
There is NO relocation of WIRES at least on the 2.0 LNF.
Also remember the pipe goes in between the chassis and not on top of the chassis frame. There is a bracket that is part of the brace for this function.

There are different wiring harnesses between the cars. We are aware of a couple different wiring changes throughout the years, the 06/07  2.4L are similar but the 08 is different and some of the 09's are a little different than those also. This is the same for the GXP's/Redline wiring also as there was a big change in 08. The 07 wiring on GXP/Redline is different from the 08/09 cars.

Hope that helps,
Dave

Thanks Dave,
There is a flat plate on both sides of the Brace that secure it to the upper part of the chassis. There should be no problems with the wire harness.

Right after I read that post from Dave I went out to the garage to look under my hood....
2009 Red-Line Series
There is a lot of wiring in the passenger side in front of engine and above water pump area, on the drivers side their seems to be a 1/4" tubing parallel with the frame....
I'm sure their might be away around that, (fingers-cross) that's if I'm looking at the right area....

On mine, 2.4 1st 1K, those wiring harness bits are mounted to the screw/bolt where your new brace will go.  Not an insurmountable problem, just a minor pain in the rear.
