I fixed my 12V accessory plug.  It required that I remove the lower part of my Sky Dash.

After polishing the factory driver-side IC charge pipe well over a year ago, I finally got round to doing the passenger side today.  Took a lot of wet-sanding and polishing to get most of the tool-marks out.  I didn't want to go too deep and I concentrated on the areas that are visible when it's mounted, but it came out pretty nicely I think.  Before and after photos:

[attach=1]
You are braver than me. I was worried about how much material would be left if I went after the tool marks so I left them. I used steel wool and finished with rubbing compound.

It amazes me they put an engine cover and did not protect parts like this better when they built it. Didnt they know they were building for gearheads?

I have second Little Devil under the hood now.

If it stops raining around here[AGAIN] and the roads aren't little rivers, I will now be able to do some data logging and try and get some more AirFlow out of the new CAI and retune the Demon.

Disabled OnStar yesterday.  That was a lot of panels needed removal just to gain access to VCIM.

Basically, I disconnected the cell antenna cable, the GPS antenna cable, and two white connectors.  Leave the black connector alone or the car doesn't start.

Washed and drove Lindsey down to DDMWorks from Blacksburg, VA. Leaking coolant the whole way. Took car into a local dealership and it will be replaced tomorrow.

Modified my Pro-Beam for my Rear Differential clearance issue and got to hang out with Jake, Ivy, and Kim!

Did I mention that I also got a chance to see Gwyneth on her perch and an Ariel Atom that just came in for an install at DDM. Now that is a cool car! A little impractical for a DD though but man would it be fun on the track and AC course!

Changed the spark plugs the other day, went from the original ACDelco 41-102 to the 41-108 gapped at .035.  No codes and no problems so far.  Also got my SPEC 3+ clutch from DDM with some other goodies yesterday.  As soon as the flywheel and spacer get here, I'll get everything installed so I can get back to the races again.

I also got my iPad-2 in yesterday. Found an app last night that measures speed via GPS and inertial forces via the iPad's internal positioning.  It displays both gauges along with a map and records it all for playback.  It's called GPS Speed HD if you want to check it out.

Over the weekend I mounted my rear view camera monitor in my sunshade.  Been meaning to get to this for over a year now, but someone beat me to it over on the BB so that galvanized me to action!

No how-to here, since I doubt many if any will want to do this themselves - I think most have an aftermarket radio they'll use instead.  But just by way of an FYI, attached are photos of what the driver's sunshade looks like cut open.   First shows the hidden part of the sliding door.  Interestingly the mirror is larger all round than the cutout, so even with the sliding door removed I could just leave it in place with no unsightly gaps.

I did get a nice (and cheap!) chrome- metal rearview camera though (also avail in black) and will be working on a new license plate bracket and light to replace the OEM one and allow the camera to be center mounted above the plate.  Will do a photo-writeup of that since that may be of more interest to folks.

Yes, Elff, I had one like that also.  Didn't like the add-on look though (no offense) plus it didn't work well with my clear license plate cover.  So I wanted to go with something more factory looking.  "Chacun à son goût" :)

Understood

I think the one I have could easily be used behind the bumper and utilize the opening about the license plate.  That would make it stealth.  would just need to pop off the rear bumper to do that
