Why do you have to pick on the guy?  At least he has ONE mod on his car!
I have at least TWO mods on my car GJ the TPMS that I added and the crushed fenders the dealer added free of charge.

Wow, all you Northern, Eastern and Midwest folks who have had to park your Kappa for the winter, how sad indeed the long winter will be!  Here in Kansas the fall is in process with the beautiful leaves falling and some cooler nights but right behind is a miserable winter.  Thank goodness the fall here has been beautiful and still great top down weather.  I will celebrate and drive as long as possible.  Winter sucks unless you live for winter sports! :gaah:

One of the beauties of living in FL. It's pretty much top down weather all year round (if you can put up with what we call the "cold" weather we get here) :D I think last year we got 3 or 4 days that got down to 30F and that was it.

Spent a couple of hours straightening the fins on the I/C.   :banghead:

Looks as though there was a small war in there with bugs and gravel.

I am going to put fiberglass screen in front to reduce the carnage.  :yay:

Heh!  I saw these up at Carlisle at one of the big tool tents.  They wanted $22 bucks each for them!  I thought that that was expensive :)

Yep, those work great on RADIATORS!!    :agree:  BTDT!!

However the Solstice GXP I/C is a different animal, the fins are not external and that nifty tool from Eastwood will not work.  :banghead:

Onward.....I go...... :drag:

So, I am sewing up a section of the fiberglass screen for the I/C and 'of course' the bobbin runs out.  :banghead:

I'll 'Get - R - Done' tomorrow AWA a 4" blue G X P on the center of the black screening that I made the stencil for earlier today.  Also need to put in the Grommets so I can Tie-Tie (Tie Wrap) it in front of the I/C.

Onward yet again! :usa:

Just paid for body work that was completed and found the Gravana's I've been looking for. Well... they are 19's but they are on their way. We'll see how she turned out today. Maybe I'll finally get to drive her more than in and out of the garage... It's only been 11 months looking at her in the garage and .2 miles of drive time.
She's an 09 Brazen GXP.

Covered by Norms Fiberglass, DDM, WERKS, KappaSphere, Trifecta performance, Dejon performance, Solo performance, Magnaflow, Hahn, VDI, B&G, ASAP, WindRestrictor, Gravana, JPM, Santana, Madmod, HID pro, Second Skin Audio, mydipkit, Automotivetouchup.com and Smoothline.

To be or not to be hard, that is the question. I prefer my top off and still hard when I need it.

I have found a great 'TOOL' to straighten and clean gravel from the OEM I/C!!! :yay:

A 3" Upholstery Needle works pretty darn good to reform the T&B of the fins and to dig out the small gravel pieces.  YMMV

Of course only a OCD Solstice Coupe driver like me would want to do this.  :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Wish I would have put the fiberglass screen in front of the I/C when I picked up the car........30K miles is probably too late to keep it perfect. The plan is to get it installed tomorrow and I will add a picture.

Received my ASAP plastic honeycomb driving/turn signal light grills and 3rd brake TURBO sticker.
Never interested in the grills because I thought they were just vinyl, then saw them on a couple of local cars and
discovered they are solid plastic bezels.     Probably won't install until next spring, now what to order next...

Per: this post I've made more progress on my built-in boost gauge.  The physical design and circuit layout is largely complete, but I still have to start writing the code for the microcontroller.  I've decided that rather than add another pressure sensor, I'm going to tap into (one of the) the existing MAP(s), so I added an Op-amp to the circuit to act as a high impedance buffer, so as not to affect the ECM's ability to read the MAP signal.  If I do get any interference, I've added points on the PCB to be able to add a separate sensor later.  So a couple of diagrams... First the updated display (and, as before, I've kept the seatbag/airbelt(!) indicators). Due to space reasons I had to go with a 28-pin microcontroller, which gives me a max of 22 LED driver pins.  That's followed by the circuit board layout describing the main 'building blocks' of the design (the board will mount flat to the back of the existing seatbelt/airbag indicator case).

This will surely put off anyone who wanted to do this themselves  :)
