Do you know how to install the pro beam? Or you need somebody to do it for you?

He had better know how to do it, if not mine is going to fall off any day now.

I didn't hear a loud clunk from anything falling off my car while I was driving but I should probably go check anyway!

It wasn't today but the wife's redline got detailed on Thursday. If you remember from a previous post I told you about the bad water spots she had on her bluestone sky. Well the detailer did an excellent job on it! Spots are gone though I must admit a lot of them were mysteriously gone before he got to work on it. Only thing I can think of to make them go away would be sitting in the hot sun here. Anyway, he got rid of the rest of them and it turned out very nice. He told me he was using a new system from McGuires and our vehicles were the first time he used it. I will post pictures if I figure out how to do it...Will also get more info on  the system if anyone is interested since I am going to have him come back every 2 weeks or so for a basic wash/wax and interior clean.

By the way she got the water spots while going to graduate school in Gainesville Florida. Besides getting rained on almost everyday during the summer (and then having the sun bake it dry), and the apartment she was staying at watered the lawns at night and she got a lot of overspray from some very mineral heavy water. So the spots she had were very bad. I was afraid that they had actually bonded with the clear coat. I tried several methods to remove them but had little luck with it. It was bad enough we were going to get the car repainted.

When I get back from Romania after Kelu installs my newly painted probeam.  Then you can use it for a day and a half, then I will need ot back to go pick up DDM from Nationals.

gave it a good wash today!
this meguiar's treatment for the soft top is very good.
apart from keeping it dry, it also made it look newer, more black, like it used to be when i bought it...

also sprayed some silicon on the T that connects the boost gauge to the vaccum line, coz it seemes not to be handling well with the heat in the engine bay. it got dried and it looks like it will soon crack. if the soft plastic part cracks it may be difficult to find a replacement

Sounds perfect. I still want to do that to mine. After I get the trunk torque rod fixed this week, I'm  going to look for this top treatment you used.

Detailed mine and went to a wonderful company picnic. Gorgeous day in the DC area!

We are visiting the Daughter and her Family in Valencia. We will be here for about two weeks. I haven't see these two Grand Sons for 3 yrs now. Thought we should get out here before they started shaving. 11 and 7. They are my lucky numbers this year. Anything going on around here while we are around? Let me know and we will try to make it.

Didn't do anything to my Sol today but, removed the door pockets from the old set of door panels rom Kenny along with JPM covered door handles and elbow pads.  Door pockets and elbow pads will be installed in BoB, the door handles in Tigger.  At least Kenny didn't cannibalized with this one.

Yesterday, I put the rear end up on ramps and rotated my exhaust couplers.  The bolts were hitting most of the speed bumps.  While I was under there, I took the opportunity to check the probeam bolts.  I put a couple of turns on about 4 of them, but they were all more than finger tight after a couple of years since the install.

I also buffed out a scratch on the passenger side door from dropping the hood on it.  I had met up with the Korean racers 2 nights ago at a car wash.  One of the guys asked if he could have his picture taken while sitting in it.  I had the hood up before he sat in the driver's seat.  As I went to close the hood, I didn't realize that his cousin had raised the passenger door, wanting to get in on the picture.  There is still a 4-5 inch crease, but I think it can be popped out.  The guy that was sitting in the driver's side, works at the Chevy Service Center where I got the hood and front facia painted.  He said they could probably pop the crease out...  For Free!

I also buffed out some problem areas on the rest of the car with SSR 2.5 and SSR 1.0 and then did the whole car with Pro-Polish, Pro-Polish with Carnuba, Black Hole glaze, and finished with a coat of EX Sealent.

Today, since it's going to be a slow day at work, I'll put another coat of EX Sealant on it this morning and hit the interior with Leather Stuff.  This evening, I'll finnish up with a coat of Natty's Liquid Blue wax and hit the wheels with some Wheel Sealant.   I'm so glad that Porboy's World shipps to APO AP addresses!

Put on a race backbone and probeam. Made a great difference. Feels much more solid over bumps and less twisting over undulations and more neutral through the turns. Dont understand how others dont feel any difference.

I agree. The two make a difference.

Went out on a couple drives today but the best was when an SUV full of young guys pulled up beside me and told me they loved my car and when I said Thanks they said bet you have a lot of fun in it. I said I do and zoomed off! Haha
