After three weeks down in Flo-rida with the out-laws, just got back home today after driving all night - 962 miles.  First thing was to get Campbelle out of the garage and drive!  I left her on Battery Minder life support, so she started up just fine and ran like the wind.  Ahhhhh - all's well with the world.

Gave my GT a good wash, thoroughly cleaned the engine bay and sprayed all rubber with silicone spray (may i say that my GT had a good boobjob done )

http://img185.imageshack.us/i/p1030605c.jpg/

changed the stand of my boost gauge, coz the old one would slip all the time and the back end was a mess.
hope i have the connections all tight and i don t have to put it out and retighten again...

http://img43.imageshack.us/i/p1030620d.jpg/

covered the front Opel badge with carbon vinyl. it took 2 hours of patience...but i t looks good. Also looking for some exagonical grill mesh to put instead of the Opel badge. the only problem is i want it to have depth of about half an inch. found the Seats have the one i like and Monday morning i ll try to buy some from the Seat dealership.

it s so nice to be on vacation!! i ve spent some quality time with my GT and now i don t want to drive it and get it dirty again... :(

Install a Steibel Nautilus 139 db horn. I tapped into the stock wiring and used the stock single horn mount bracket.

Came back from a week business trip to find my right rear tire flat.  Pulled a nail and plugged it.  Changed my oil.

Chuckdoc was over and we changed his oil and cleaned his PCV valve.

I'd been out of town for over a week.  So I gently washed her curves, trying to caress away the neglect she must have felt.  Absence makes the heart grow fonder.  ;)

Although I work only 6.5hrs. today. I did pull 11.5hr. days M-F in hot welding shop. I feel you pain, but on the bright side. If you only have time for working, eating & sleeping. You don't have time to send all that O.T. money   :banghead: :(. Then you see you bank account a mo. later &  :D

This is true. Last weekend was weird, I didn't have to go into work and I really didn't know what to do with myself...

Oh well. Hunting season is right around the corner, and that'll keep me busy. Autocross is fun but it's not feasible when you may be required to work weekends.

Kelu, mine is always dirty, that s why it is news that i cleaned it. didn t spray water, just a wet cloth, lots of ear buds and cockpit shine spray for the plastic parts (like above the wheels). will let it dry for a couple of days. it took me 2 hours though....

All this weekend there was hot and sunny and everybody was leaving to seaside, I spent it in house because I was sick. Sunday evening took my girlfriend for a ride, top down, guess what, a damn torrential rain started all the sudden, took me under 20 seconds to pull over and put top up, but I was wet by than.

The rain was so strong that my wipers on max speed forced me to drive 20mph max. Damn, whatta wonderful way to end this weekend.
